I am 41 and I remember rocking this entire album in my car in 2005. I haven't heard this song in a decade and it popped up on my 2000's playlist and it all came flooding back.
Or the band dies literally. I mean its parts. Like Linkin Park :/ But I'm still glad I've seen Green Day, Papa Roach, Sum 41 or Good Charlotte this year
especially when you managed to hit those blessed RAMPAGES when memory was playing, in fact it might be the most purrfect soundtrack ever (if you take out striker that is)
OMG!!!!! Finally!!!! I can't believe I finally found this song!!! Basically, the only thing I could remember was that I liked a punk-rock song from around 2004 +- and nothing else (not even a part of the lyrics). I want to cry... I've missed it for 13 years now...
This song defines me and my life. My childhood, playing Burnout 3, and causing destruction was all because of this song. It also reminds me of a girl I know. This song really does give you Memories. :)

Man. I just thought about all the bands I used to listen to and this band pops up. First song I see is Memory. This song hits hard now being 33 years old and thought I had a solid plan in my teens having a fiancé and all towards the end of high school. But now I'm in my 30s single and alone.
I feel you man.. I'm in the same exact boat. Picking up the pieces of my heart and my life at the same time and it's been 2 years since it ended. 😩 Seems like these artists knew what this was like.
This song already has such a nostalgic sound, and then it gives me nostalgia because I heard it in my childhood. Good stuff. I heard it on Burnout btw. Anyone else?
Same with a SHIT tons of rock bands. Now, kids only listen to rap, no matter how shitty us adults think not is. When was the last time a kid listened to a rock song? Maybe the early 2000's idk.
I've never heard of them and I'm gonna say they sound as good as that band Fallout Boys or is it just Fallout idk. I saw them twice but went actually to see the other bands playing. PARAMORE and NEW POLITICS.
Devil 4 years ago I was 16 when I commented this (‘: and I still stand by my statement as a 20 y/o, rap will forever be garbage and punk and rock are forever where it’s at
Most people are saying Amber brought me here or Burn Out 2. I just remember watching this late at night on MTV. Nostalgia of staying up late to watch music videos before school the next day...
Jesus I remember seeing this video on MTV back when MTV still played music. Fell in love with this song instantly. Would always be humming it all day long.
I was driving on the road when I randomly remembered this song. Stopped on the side and hummed it into Google assistant. Got here and instantly went back 10 years into memory lane. Love this song, love burnout 3
Especially not this basic shit.. but to each their own I guess. I will say no one era contains the 'best' music but I'm just some dude replying to comments from 3 years ago so what the hell do I know?
The soundtrack of Burnout 3 is just burned into my mind. I spent 100 hours on that game at least. Going back to all these songs gives me such a nice shot of nostalgia
I was watching the sopranos and AJ has a Sugarcult poster in is room. I couldn’t even remember what that was…found bouncing off the walls again and a memory from 20 years ago was unlocked
Some of the first songs I bought when I first got iTunes in 2004. Memory, Hate Every Beautiful Day, Back to California, Head Up, Crying, How Does It Feel, Saying Goodbye.
Wow, when I was like 3, my aunt would play sugarcult all the time and I meet knew who the band was. Up until now I have been wondering about this band and I finally found them!
this is awesome - to have been able to experience this band in my childhood could have changed the teen and adult i would become. imagine being 14 and finally hearing it for the first time when it was released. changed me then too! - your aunt rocks!
Love this song since I was a child, makes me feel glad happy and younger, it throughs me back to those days when I used to sing out loud inside my bedroom and my mom getting mad haha
Heard this first time in 7th grade year 2000 and here we are 21 years later and I still love this song as much as I did when I first heard it rock out ! Yee
I remember my childhood, I was 7-8 years old listening to this for the first time and today almost 16 years later I can say that I still and will continue to love this song... It really defined me ♡
Sugarcult deserved to have far more success than they had. On talent alone they easily matched up with any of the 2nd wave of Pop-Punk bands like NFG, Simple Plan, BFS, etc... The difference of getting on a record label that was willing to put some money out there to get there faces in front of the masses more; even so their fantastic songs forced their way into view for at least a while there during the height of the pop-punk craze in the early 2000s.
Back here after getting to hear Marco play this live a couple of times.Just such a good jam, so good for screaming in your car driving down the road with friends.
Didn't listen to this song enough. Reminds me of getting ready for school in 6th grade. Switching back and fourth between vh1 and mtv listening to my favorite songs.
A friend took her life recently and this song makes me think of her. I miss her and I wish I could've been there for her like I should have been. Maybe one more reminder everyday that she's beautiful and talented could have saved her. This song makes me hurt so badly but I can never stop listening to it.
TouchTheSky Thank you. I used to be the asshole that made fun of people that made these comments and replied to them but boy have the tables turned. Feels like God was giving me a punch to the face.
22 now.. I remember being really young and going to northern michigan for a vacation with my father and hearing this on the radio. The effect of music having you knowing exactly what was going on when you heard a song is so great. The nostalgia. I love it.
Dang, i was 13 or 14 when this song came out. I can't remember if it was 2004 or 2005, but Palm Trees & Powerlines became one of my anthem albums in my early teen years. Listening to it now, in 2021, at 30, it still has the same reaction in my soul. Like a familiar friend, years since speaking, picking up where you left off. It's the perfect memory. Miss that CD, miss my Walkman. Don't miss the school bus it was stolen on, though.
I used to do the air drum follow up on this song during puberty, now i am about to turn 25 and I cant believe I'm watching this musical video after going through teenage years and early adulthood. Saw it on MTV at first like at 3 in the morning or something lol.
8 years, living in the dorms back in college. Hard to believe it's been so long. Amazing how music can bring back so many memories in your life. I'm not even a huge fan, but this song reminds me of some good times.
2:57 The song is got the Last Action Hero toys, Jurassic Park toys, Super Mario Bros toys and the Jurassic Park McDonald's commercials on my video when it happens in 1993 when everything is not here in 2021 anymore.
I'm 30 now. 17 years later and this song just randomly popped into my brain as I was falling asleep. Still solid.

That moment when your finally old enough to go to concerts, and the band dies.
Or the band dies literally. I mean its parts. Like Linkin Park :/ But I'm still glad I've seen Green Day, Papa Roach, Sum 41 or Good Charlotte this year
MrDrummergeorge there’s a band from Arizona called Anarbor. They need to do a cover of this song

Reminds me of high school, can't believe its been almost a decade. Nostalgia is such a crazy, deep feeling.
Agreed. Nostalgia is a unique kinda love that is powered by the self too, not always by another.
Maybe nostalgia is essential to survival?
