In my opinion, what ari's lyrics were trying to convey was that, it shows women empowerment or appreciation against society's standards and women's stereotypical standing in society. It's not trying to degrade men and it isn't arrogant either it just shows that women can stand for themselves and can do things that are mostly "just" categorized for men. Also it shows extra appreciation for all the women out there caring for you that has been watching yo backs in their own ways. Cuz you know, I think we're not new to the experience that some women out there help you build yourself and gives you light in a whole different perspective. Especially moms. Women should be respected and not just be taken for granted like throwing away a used toy just because you're done "playing" with it or when you've already used them just for satisfaction. Again I don't mean to degrade anyone out there. I'm just voicing out my view. I hope you respect my opinion and take it in maturely. I'm 17

Lot of people say that they understand the lyrics music but i think they don't understand the video. For exemple with Romulus and Remus, the thinker by Rodin or the bible quote. The video have lot of meaning inspired by grec religion, roman history, christian religion, art, biology (be pregnant etc). And they show how much woman are important in this world and why god can litteraly be a woman (they creat life).
This is about women empowering. ‘The Thinker’ (when Ariana was sitting and men throwing trash to her) a famous sculpture was portrayed in the video because men don't like thinking women in their lives.
Only a few seconds and he already depicted and analyzed the whole meaning of the video...daaamn

The picture he said he didnt like was from roman mythology. Romulous and remus human babies being fed by the female wolf, later to grow up and rule rome. They are trying to support her (unnecessarily) but she's actually feeding them as the female wolf did with with litter and human male children.
that scene of her with the men "miling" her is reference to Romulus and Remus and the founding of Rome.
Just saying, the slightly lower pitch sounds amazing
