omg. no one was expecting this to be the next big hit but guess what now the ratings are even higher than uncontrollably fond which people were expecting to be as popular as dots. (I'm not insulting any drama, I'm just using it as a reference) so far the drama is at episode 4 but I really really have to say that these first 4 episodes were one of the best out of all the dramas I've watched. This drama drama seriously deserves much more ;)

This drama is absolutely amazing! From all the kdramas that I've watched, in my opinion, this is the best so far. It makes you really think about what will happen next; it makes you doubt as to whether or not someone will die, and it makes you feel so much emotions. Each episode gave me such a feeling that I've never really felt, and each episode made me really think. It gave me a sense of emotion that not only I was a reader, but it was like I really felt like I was also in the story. The acting was very nice, and I learned in this drama how important each scene is and the angles. I really admire this drama! No kdrama can compare to this one, it's just so precisely made!

I love this drama so much. Like i never understand why dramas like desenced of the sun are SO popular. I did enjoy the drama but I cant understand why everyone is like "omg best drama and shit". I really prefer dramas like these, a drama with a plot that no one else has made in a drama, where you wonder what is gonna happen next and you just CANT wait for next week. And of course the very good actors.

DOTS was so popular because it is a feel-good drama. Every woman loves to dream about a handsome boyfriend who can cooly protect her from any dangers, and men dream about an alternate universe where they are as cool as SJK. W appeals to a smaller population of viewers who like fantasy and puzzles and more intricate plot lines. Its plot is also extremely easy to follow, unlike W, where you would need to watch from the start to understand what is happening. Sadly that's why this drama with so much effort put into it is so underrated, while dramas like dots with barely any plot line or character development are such big hits
True true. I personally think for DOTS that it was the acting that made it good. Like it literally felt as you knew each character for years... and especially at the end. It was cliché sure, but damn.. so many feels.
