Absolutely great stuff! Especially ideas 3A & 3B. What a creative boost! I've got 3 songs I’ve been struggling to work out bridges for, but with these suggestions they are done & dusted. Thanks!
I'm genuinely curious what kind of person disliked the material. There is a wealth of knowledge here in simplest terms ever, it's incredible. Very much appreciated, Maestro Stitch!
man, i am a physics phd student and don;t have a lot of time but these short brilliant videos really make my day when i sit down with my guitar. Love the stich method :']
Scary thing is this actually made sense to me! Just want to say I really appreciate all the stuff you share here on RUclips. Been listening to you for months and my guitar playing has moved forward by leaps and bounds!
You make the best videos because you get right into the 1. What you are doing 2. Why you need to do it, should do it 3. How to do it 4. You always appear to be having super amounts of fun
Hey Ian! What a gem of a mini lesson! Solid gold nugget! DynOmite! I'm going to write a little tune tomorrow morning just so I can throw in a bridge. Always left me totally stymied. Thanks mucho mate! Be well! Dave in the Adirondacks 🤠
That was the best way of telling people how to piece the second half of there songs together that I’ve ever heard! And the best Explanation of how to solo to a second bridge part after working your way up to it, wow awesome job and you blow my mind! I Already knew these answers, but the way you said it made other things click so much better in my mind and got me to a whole new level! Great job man! And I love the humming part when you we’re doing the solo overtop with your mouth that was so helpful and that’s how it’s done and how the rockstars do it!
Top guy, even if I don't completely understand the concept in one viewing, I never come away from one of Ian's lessons empty handed, I always learn something. He is so wonderfully personable and informed. Stitch method videos are a golden resource. Thank you
Just brilliant! Thank you for this. Simply explained and practical. I'm not there yet with thinking about songwriting, but this will be immensely valuable if/when I do.
So... is this like an extension to the circle of fifths? The major chords coming off of thirds of the last chord played? Every time I think I have a grasp of guitar it’s like there’s a rip in the continuum that takes me down another rabbit hole ! Fascinatingly frustrating, but fun and interesting! Great video!
Yet again, another awesome lesson. You sir, are a great teacher and your best videos are when you are teaching and inspiring creativity not just theory. Should keep doing the skat too, nice touch to the video! Peace.
I had writers block on the first song am producing after learning a little bit of music theory and you absolutely helped me come up with a way better bridge than what I was trying! Thank you so much!
He has cracked the entire glow stick wide open with this one
Man you just unlocked a 5 year puzzle on what a bridge ACTUALLY is. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and compose one into my song
Mr Stitch giving away song writers secrets and it is much appreciated even by us bedroom guitar players everywhere. Cheers
Yes Mr Stitch surely did the job! This is giving us a map, and now we're free to ride.
Thanks for cracking my glow stick!
