Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Exactly, most of the investors pays more attention to the profit aspect forgetting that the market involves ups and down. securing your financial position requires lots of patience and proper education on the market so as to know the right profitable stock to buy and invest in. Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

HSI has a large range candle at 17350. Markets love the bottom of large range candles. Somewhere between 17350 and 17100, it should catch a bid. The 20 weekly is also sitting there at 17350. We all know how they like to spike it through though. Just to grab liquidity. This is just my opinion. I set a few alerts.
I have taken a couple of small trades on the bounces but it always runs out of steam. I have been waiting for under 17500 for a longer term position.

MSFT has historically gone onto 30% corrections fairly regularly. When the top is in, I would expect MS to retrace the gains back to ~$300, testing previous ATH. Last retracement on the bear market of 22 was about 35% loss, over 49 weeks, top to bottom.

Id keep a closer eye on units sold not dollar figures for more retail categories. I dont know what it looks like elsewhere, but here I know a bunch of people who are putting off a lot of things over finance issues.
New car purchases are getting fairly rare around here. The local toyota dealership hasn't been turning its inventory over at all. The front of the lot has only had 1 car change in the lineup in weeks.
I used to work at a Home Depot and I still swing by and chat with some ex co workers. It appears they are basically dead this Summer. Home improvements aren't happening. That means supplies and tool sales have plunged. Garden and landscaping is still moving but much slower than before.
My local grocery store is the flagship store for a regional chain. The store is dropping a lot of choice and going for simpler cheaper options. The shoppers in the store are clearly getting a lot less for their money and it shows when you see what people are putting in their carts.
Im not saying its end of the line quite yet, but I think your average retail consumer is tight on money and that tends to break stuff if it lasts for too long. I give it 12 months max before it impacts the markets, but I bet it will be Q4 when the bottom falls out of the market.

Seems like the analysis has been pointng to short-term pullback, immediate term bullish, long-term TBD for a while now. Has been hard to know when the "correction" will reveal itself.. seasonality in July has been strong over the last 9 years.
The Morgan Stanley Buyback projections assume that there is no recession and/or financial crisis over the next few years putting an end to the buyback bonanza.
