The Shots of Maya with her ancestors is one of my favourite shots in the entire MCU. I love how they made her name Echo be a more emotional connection. I got to say and I don't care if you don't agree with me , I have put Echo in my top 5 of the MCU shows and Alaqua was born for the role
I agree completely and I love how much marvel went out of their way to include as much from Choctaw not just their legends but their history as well and it was beautiful to see
My favorite things about Echo were the final song which made me tear up and the reusing of half the cast of Reservation Dogs, one of my favorite series of all time. It's unfortunate they had to rush the story to fit it into the 5 episode slot, because I think this had the potential to be one of the best shows on Disney+ if they had given it 2 or 3 more episodes.
Before this show I thought "Echo" had to do with the fact the character couldn't hear in the traditional sense. But I really like the ancestors echoing through each other to strengthen the newest crop of the family.
I never watched the shows on Netflix but I fully expect to see Maya appear on the new Daredevil show at some point.. They may have fought each other in the past, but that was when she was working for Fisk. Clearly he's going to run (and likely win) the Mayoral race. That means they'll have a common enemy in him. And like you said, she's held her own against Daredevil. You know Marvel won't be able to pass up having these 2 fight side by side...against Fisk. 😁

Yeah would be great if she could at least show up for an episode or 2. The actress also deserves to get more work.

I enjoyed this show, especially Maya as character (she's cool), but the finale was missing some real tension.
