I know we're past Christmas 🙈 This bauble was finished 2 days before Christmas and I didn't make it to prepare this video, so I'm doing it now. This work officially ends the Christmas season on this channel but I think you can easily use an egg instead to make an Easter decoration :)

Your work is delightful! What type of ball is this? Styrofoam, plastic or other material?
Thank you! 😍 It's styrofoam ball but you can use whatever type you want :) I had styrofoam in quite bad condition so I wanted to cover every imperfection and achieve the effect like on this one 😉

Do you paint your clay pieces after the clay has dried? Or paint them while still wet? I have trouble with my clay giving me cracks.
Cracks depend on the type of clay you use... Different clays have different properties - some crack because they lose water too fast while drying. Sometimes the effect of cracks looks nice in the work because it ages and adds character, but we are not always interested in such an effect ;) Try using a super light mass from the link, you will be satisfied because it never cracks ;) If you have problems removing it from the mold, insert the mold with the mass in the freezer for 15 minutes, or sprinkle the mold with e.g. flour before filling with the mass
