Hello and thanks for the very useful video. We are redoing our kitchen and are struggling to fit two ovens (conventional one + microwave) and was considering having only one such as the Siemens HN878G4B6. Do you believe this would be a good solution? Thanks
There is a product issue in BSH/Siemens (also Bosch, Neff, Gagenau) ovens which have steam/added steam functionality. The point where the steam is pushed into the oven, is causing rust over time. I had several versions and each model was causing rust in like 6-8 month using frequently. They never fixed this, they just keep shipping new ovens to me... Still quite annoyed about this. My friends were experiencing the same issue after 3 years of use. I think they only improved the display on their new model... so be aware of rust in your dinner. (you can see the rust after 1 year of use by removing the back cover in the oven, 4 screws, and look at the steam injection point, good luck!.. )
Thank you for your detailed explanation of the oven. My only problem is when I bake 4 cakes together on 2 trays- each tray having 2 cake tins. The above tray bakes nicely but the below one takes a bit more time to bake and at times it doesn’t rises much. I usually bake on the 2nd and the 3 rd level from the bottom. Please advice what she I do so that both the trays ‘a cakes bake evenly and at the same time. Thank you
Oh that's odd, have you tried the 4D hot air? This function ensures even heat distribution throughout the oven. This video explains the function in more detail ruclips.net/video/Fun_tPjHYaU/видео.html
Thank you so much for your reply. They have seen it. I also made a video and the repair man say its normal. Mind you this is Germany and repairs are hard to come by. I'm simply demanding a new oven from them now
Thank you for your question. From my experience working in a Siemens showroom, this is not normal. I would check to see if your oven is still in its warranty or try and get an engineer to visit [so you can show them the issue]. The customer liaison number for BSH is 0344 892 8920, they should be able to help you solve this.
Hi, can you give me the model number of the oven 60x60, coffee machine 60x45 and for the microwave 60x45 and if you combi 60x60 also it will be good. because i have search on siemens wedsite, i have not see this model. and i like the model that is on the studio line range with its black steel border very nice. so please can i get the details. THANKS.

Thank you for your question. Pyrolytic (self-cleaning) ovens tackle the grime in a different way: they burn it with fire. Well, more specifically, the oven heats up to about 400 to 500°C, heating the baked-on bits until they carbonize and turn to ash - a process called pyrolysis. I hope this helps.
Hello, Thank you for your question. There are lots of Siemens ovens with a microwave function. Please see a link below: www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/uk/productlist/cooking-and-baking/ovens/ovens-with-microwave None of Siemens ovens have an air fryer function, however, there are multiple functions explained in the video that will be helpful for various cooking styles. I hope this is helpful. Kind regards, Leah Morris.
You need to select the appropriate function and temperature, then the oven will let you know when it has reached that temperature. Please have a look at www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/uk/appliances/cooking-baking for more information :))
damn good question it is not apparent in the manual. I and my daughter have terrible, terrible food poisoning. I would not recommend this oven at all. there are others on the market that are safer
Thank you really helpful
