Just watched this on Conan and I have to say that it's one of those rare performance that is so much better live than recorded...but that is not to say that the recording is not bad at all. There was a good energy to the live performance.

This song is amazing and enlightening too. It gives you the message not to give in when the odds are against you despite being outnumbered. If at war with another group of people, it's about not surrendering your chance to fight for what you believe in or what you want to achieve. Having autism spectrum disorders, I'm not going to live in a group or special needs ranch, work at a sheltered workshop, attend a day program, use an individualized support plan or rely on an interdisciplinary team, or join a social activity for adults with disabilities. All they do is babysit, keep you dependent, and never let you leave. Even if I could be alive longer if I accept services designed to protect me, I refuse them and choose not to. Nobody ever pushes me to accept that shit but if they do, I'm always going to say no. I want to just live without the plan, pursue my interests, and die when my time comes. Not succeeding is worse than having autism. Independence is way more important to me than longevity. After all, I'd rather be dead than live a lie. That's why I love this song.
