“Once upon a time, there was a man named Daniel. His wife was a cheating scumbag, and his daughter was narcissistic sociopath. He was assaulted by the courts; stabbed to death by his own daughter; and set on fire by her boyfriend. His family SUCKED. The end.”
RIP Daniel, and I hope his other son & daughter live a better life ❤️ So tragic & unfair.

He chose to stay with his cheating wife. That's mistake #1, just saying. I do feel awful for him, but staying in a relationship *knowing* they cheat, is absolutely the worst choice to make. Even if you have kids, *it's over*

I think a wife can be put off when a husband decides to live on her income and won't get a job even though they moved explicitly for a job for him. A man who "will" not (not cannot) provide for his family will put a woman off. She won't feel they are equal. Couples are different, but this seems to be a couple who agreed he'd work and she'd work - at least initially.

you never know people beyond what they show you. and he could be an awesome friend or coworker, but an awful boyfriend/husband. There are aspects of people you will never get to see from your perspective, as sad as it may seem. not saying they lied for example, just that we know them for what they are to us with us specifically, and not beyond.

@@magical571 I don't disagree with you - People usually or almost always have two sides - The side they reveal to you, and then the side they do not. When this all happened, I investigated everything I could get my hands on, from phone records provided to me by Dan's family, talked with people in his inner circle, reviewed the custody case and hearings that were public, on and on. I tried to make some sense of what had happened. In most custody disputes the child is put in a position to chose one parent over the other; Sierra most closely identified emotionally with her mother. Which is really weird because despite what the ex-wife/Sierra's mother said about Dan "keeping Sierra from her" there were very few calls from her to Sierra. Additionally, I uncovered this history of the ex-wife/Sierra's mom playing the victim card over and over. In fact, you can Google her name and find the info for yourself. I truly believe Sierra channeled this same energy to justify what she did to Dan.

I'll never forget a case I had when working at Juvenile Detention near the Mexican border. I had 25 young males in my caseload...then a sixteen-year-old girl arrived. She and her 25 year-old boyfriend were angry because her father refused to allow the boyfriend to move in. There were 4 younger daughters in the home besides his wife. This man was well liked in the community and worked frieght for a bus company. The couple somehow drove him to a bridge and shot him in cold blood. They were apprehended and arrested, charged with murder. The girl's first request upon arrival was to use the phone to call her mother. I was standing nearby and was appalled that she had the audacity to demand her mother get her out. She had no clue that she had robbed her mother of the man she lived and rook their father away from his daughters. She was selfish, Narcissistic, and oblivious to the consequences of her crime! Of all my clients/patients/students have I ever feel such a lack of pity. ..as well as with these two.

As an early teen she would hound me that I should kill myself. The mother made these sorts of comments as a lot of soldiers in my unit suicided. At one point she said she wished she had a gun so she could kill. In top of a lot of really demeaning and narcissistic behavior. Mom had Borderline Personality Disorder and I think my daughter also has it. It pains me, but I want both nutjobs far from me.

Elizabeth is running for office in Nevada. Please never let that woman amass any power. This story was too much and reflects so poorly on her decisions as a parent. She is trying to say Daniel "molested" Sierra in her one statement, to save face because clearly, her image and not her kids health appear to not be a priority, but amassing power is. I pray for their children. I cannot imagine what they go through. What parent would want their children regularly on camera or to read criticism of their mother after they lost their sister and their father. You don't need a psych degree to understand how emotionally traumatizing that court case must have been for the remaining children.

    1. Make sure there is plenty of surveillance footage of you purchasing body disposal equipment.
    2. It is vital to dispose of evidence on your property or in a location that you are known to frequent.
    3. ALWAYS keep your cellphone with you so that your every move can be traced.
    4. Be sure to think of an implausible alibi that will be proven false by cellphone data and surveillance footage.

Yes, we usually have longer sentences than other countries. But our legal system is extremely flawed at times. There was a murder at a movie theater , where an old guy shot & killed a man, a husband & dad, for being on his phone during the movie previews. I read the court transcripts. The murdered guy did nothing to provoke the killer. The killer got off free, but if he’d been a black man & done the same crime he’d be in prison for 20 years. The killer was a retired cop, and white ppl (on the jury) like retired cops. This case is called the “popcorn murderer”.

    1. The Mother Actively Alienated the Father for Several Years: Parental Alienation.
2.Started during the Affair, continued in Counseling, Tiger allowed this Manipulation. There Seemed to also Be a Fixation with Money: Tiger High End Real Estate. This Youngest Daughter, Sierra, with prior observed Psychological Aspects, learned Manipulation Tactics that lead to the Murder. Not once in the News articles is the Parental Alienation mentioned, but from reading Information that Appeared to Be the Driving Force for Years, eventually leading to Murder committed by this Sierra. Of course the Mother would have him Falsely Arrested, and state that He was willfully Unemployed, Keeping Up with Child Support Payments of $2,300, while her Hubs and Herself Worked in High End Real Estate.

Not that surprising to me. The younger you are, the more self centered you are, which is normal. Being selfish as a young child makes sense, after all it is the responsibility of the adults around you to tend to your every need. Children lack the brain development to comprehend a world outside of themselves. It’s only when certain children don’t grow out of this behavior that it becomes an issue. A lot of things can cause it but mental illness of some kind is the most common verdict, especially if it went unchecked or untreated.

We don’t know her side of the story. She remarried and stayed that way. He remarried and divorced a second time. He seemed to have some maturity issues for sure. Intentionally under employed to avoid paying to support his kids? That doesn’t seem like decent behavior to me. I don’t blame the woman for divorcing him when we don’t know why she was as driven to end the relationship. Her affair was wrong, but it doesn’t mean that the husband was not also partly to blame for the breakdown of the relationship

I feel so bad for Daniel, he was such a good dad from what we've seen. He really did have Sierra's best interest at heart. He only forbid her to see her boyfriend bc the pair planned to rob their families and run off. Him and the other parents noticed that their kids don't have the best influence on each other so they did the right thing and tried to stop it. And he was trying to be understanding with Sierra and her feelings too. But I fear that these two young people were too far gone at that point. My heart goes out for Daniel's family and friends, especially for his mom and his other two kids who have not only lost their father but their sister too...and found out that their little sister was a horrible person.

@@tommymack4372 Your statement has nothing to do with this girl or her crime. She was neither mentally nor physically abused. As Dr. Grande stated she was a narcissistic sociopath who manipulated her father and normally got away with it. Once Daniel found out about her boyfriend being older and other frightening factors of their relationship, he put an end to it. She was a selfish brat who did not like being told no, so she and her boyfriend murdered him. There was also no remorse from her about her father's murder. She is right where she needs to be.
