@@Ironcorgi2yeah but honestly the age difference here isnt a big question cause heather (annie) actress was 6 or 4 years younger than sherilyn (audrey) and annie’s character was only 22 which is still 12 years age difference if you look at it that way. the age of consent is 16 there i believe and 18 counts as an adult so audrey was an adult. if we’re talking about taking advantage of someone, annie’s character is more of an innocent lamb that could be taken advantage of. and also audrey was the one who liked cooper in the first place so she wouldnt have been taken advantage of. whats more, john justice wheeler plays a man in his early 30s just like cooper. so its clear that the drama wasnt between sherilyn and kyle (cooper) but sherilyn and lara (donna) who obviously had an effect on kyle and so to say manipulated him… its sad though:(
These two had better chemistry and romantic tension than 90% of the actual couples in tv shows and movies. I'm still salty about them not ending up together.
The lack of relationship between Dale and Audrey through the 2nd season has a very important reason: Kyle MacLachlan started a love affair with Lara Flynn Boyle (who played the role of Donna), and she was very jealous of Sherilyn Fenn.
I've just finished watching season 2. The complete lack of interactions and the almost disregard for each other made me so mad! It's like they didn't know each other existed. So so pissed abt that, and how they didn't end up together, damn the age gap, they had more chemistry than almost all the couples. Annie and Jack were there for like 15mins and immediately they got together with Audrey and Cooper, like I felt it was so forced. Ugh.
they had chemistry, I really enjoyed watching their interactions on the original series, I ship them lol, I mean she's technically 18, but if that's inappropriate, coz I guess it's still high school, well they didn't have to be together right away, they didn't even have to be lovers, it could just be a crush on her side, and him an attraction which he doesn't act on, but they would have interactions ya know, like her helping him solve cases in her own way, and then they could get together years later when she's older, but well, they never went with that, it would have been more interesting.

It's Monday morning quarterbacking a show from over 30 years ago but I feel like they should've ended the second season with the solving of Laura Palmer's murder or even if they DIDN'T solve it or if it was someone else other than her father, I think that that could've worked, too. But solving her murder HALFWAY through the show's second season and all of the other stuff with Windom Earle, James Hurley's road trip and love affair with an older, married woman and Nadine seemingly having superpowers and thinking she was a teenager in high school was all a bunch of nonsensical drivel concocted up by writers who didn't understand the show or David Lynch's vision for the show. Because like Lynch and Mark Frost have said, the whole show was based around and centered around Laura Palmer's death and once you solve her murder, you really don't have a show anymore. I remember watching the show( both Seasons 1 and 2) for the first time earlier this year back in April( ironically, nearly 32 years to the date that the pilot episode first premiered on television) on DVD and when Laura's murder was solved halfway through the second season, I knew that it was a big mistake. I can see why David Lynch hates the second season, it was a mess.

i find it so funny cause twin peaks and riverdale are both starting out as murder mysteries of a small town where strange things happen and even shelly johnson’s actress madchen admick plays alice COOPER in riverdale. its so funny
