In the original anime work, Sayla gives the impression of having a strong core that shows no negative aspects, but it is interesting to note that she is quite different in the novel version and the ORIGIN story. It is especially interesting that in the novel version of "Mobile Suit Gundam," she openly announces to those around her that she is going to ask Amuro out herself.
Incidentally, there are various urban legends(?) on the Internet about the origin of Sayla's name. But I couldn't find the source, so I didn't take it up in this video. I would be happy to know if anyone knows the origin of her name.
