I see it like this. The Commanders/Jedi Generals wanted to see which of their Clone Legions was "better" and so they took 100 of their best Clones and pit them in a simulated battle. None of the Clones are actually dead, but in a stasis like lock down until the battle is over.
Mass battles are so fun. I'm cheered for the 104 'th. This was really fun to watch. Amazing job!!

I was rooting for the 41st. They clung on despite their lack of appropriate camouflage, and fought the superior numbers of the 212th to a standstill. That last 41st trooper did well, killing three of the 187th troopers. The 187th actually seemed to be considering letting him live for a minute there. Too bad they didn't.
More Star Wars videos! I have a idea for the next video have a Super fortress , defended by the clones with a bunch of cannons and guns. I have the droids have a bunch of tanks and soldiers.
I thought the 21st would be quickly eliminated by the crossfire from the 104th and the Doom's unit but in reality they held out much longer than I expected. RIP my boys but it was a epic fight.

For mass battles like this, it would be fun to have each team split up into smaller squads. That means even more micro battles happening at once!
