      Big deal. Marciano was overrated.

    • @D.B.Cooper-747
      @D.B.Cooper-747 7 месяцев назад +3

      Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward said, *"Marciano was over-accomplished* (overrated). *He was too small. He really wasn't a Heavyweight. 5' 10" exceptionally short arms, very clumsy, cut easy, had troubled balance. The biggest overachiever in the Heavyweight division. 188 lbs was just too small."* Emanuel was simply stating the facts. Rocky fans are the 'ONLY' fans that don't believe size matters. If size don't matter why hasn't there been (and never will be) another 184 lb Heavyweight champion since little Rocky's little era 3 generations ago?
      *@ Emanuel Steward: Ali all time greatest, Klitschko number eight*

    • @D.B.Cooper-747
      @D.B.Cooper-747 7 месяцев назад +2

      Why has Marciano's admission been hidden away for decades? Marciano *"admitted"* he could *"not"* beat prime Louis, Ali, Liston! This information is huge and settles any and all debates as to who could beat who! According to Marciano himself, Muhammad Ali would have won. Rocky said three boxers in his lifetime were a bridge too far for him, a young Joe Louis, Sonny Liston, and Ali. Louis for hand speed and power, Ali for pure speed, and Liston for technical excellence and pure brute strength. --by Mike Stanton and Fight City
      So it's true, Rocky really wasn't that good and his competition confirmed as much. Who did he fight? Walcott was 40, Moore 42, Charles had ALS and Louis was washed. It's no wonder Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward said, *"Marciano was over accomplished* (overrated). *He was too small. He really wasn't a Heavyweight. 5' 10" exceptionally short arms, very clumsy, cut easy, had troubled balance. The biggest overachiever in the Heavyweight division. 188 lbs was just too small."*
      @ Emanuel Steward: Ali all time greatest, Klitschko number eight

      @CDedits941 Your mistake is Ali and Louis being ranked that high. Single division fighters, especially heavyweights top 1 and 3 in a pound for pound setting make no sense. Especially next to guys like Sugar Ray and Langford
      Mine:
      Harry Greb
      SRR
      Henry Armstrong
      Sam Langford

      @Bruhktghnfgf Год назад +4

      @CDedits941 No, heavyweights are treated fairly because under a normal setting, they'd always beat those in the lower weight classes. In the P4P setting, heavyweights are ranked less, while welterweights are ranked higher to make it fair.

  • @hammad9091
    @hammad9091 Год назад +25

    One of the greatest. He beat the mythical Charley Burley twice while barely even 20 years of age. One thing that is overlooked regarding him -and there are many such things- is his sheer physical strength. In his fights against Louis and Marciano, he routinely got the better of them in the clinch. An amazingly well rounded fighter.

    Ezzard Charles has one of the best resumes of all the p4p goats.
    He beat the following International boxing hall of famers:
    Middle-weight:
    Charley Burley
    Teddy Yarosz
    Light-Heavyweight
    Lloyd Marshall
    Joey Maxim
    Jimmy Bivins
    Archie Moore
    Heavyweight
    JJ Walcott
    Joe Louis
    He then proceeded to give Rocky Marciano his two hardest fights while suffering from early ALS, which is the reason why he lost so many times. He was the smallest man to ever become undisputed heavyweight champion. Unlike the fighters of today, he ducked nobody and always gave rematches to deserving opponents. This man dominated three of the eight original weight divisions, and deserves to be placed among the top five p4p fighters of all time.

    He was always my favorite fighter. His record is almost impeccable yet he's rarely remembered despite putting on some of the most beautiful displays of violence. Fun fact, the reason why his middle is "Mack" is from the doctor who birthed him. Since a lot of families back in the day could not afford to pay for a doctor, they would instead pay the doctor back by introducing their name to their newborn.

      @Silent_Observer-20 4 месяца назад +1

      I've said the same thing under another video. Marciano only survived because Ezzard had taken alot of damage over his long career and also because he had early symptoms of ALS disease. There is a reason why Marciano is not even considered among the top 20. He only fought over aged damaged and sick champions from the past. Even then he had mob ties and some of his matches are quite suspicious due to how his opponents got KO'd apparently. There is no way he can be compared to Ezzard.
