Thank you man, I found this video today and went to the store and bought the BC-2 for the bridge. I'm doing a custom partscasterbuild with a scalloped maple neck and alder body. Came from the Dimarzio HS-3 (yngwie) but didn't like them at all. I also an Ibanez RG1570 prestige with Dimarzio Tonezone in the bridge and that is my favourite humbucker ever. I googled the BC-2 and read that Billy tried out the Tonezone and liked it, but wanted something that pushed air more. And then I saw your video and was totally sold! What a Great sound!
@@TexasGuitarist thanks man. I thought about the same thing. I currently have a 250k pot (due to my old dimarzio hs3) but dont like it so I Will change it to 500k.
Wow! That an awesome comment! Thanks for saying that! I love Dimarzio, and these pickups work sooo good together. Coming up next, Steve Morse Pickups with a pull-push knob for single coil sounds!

I'm a 90s Smashing Pumpkins fan, so I intentionally stayed away from the BC2 for the longest time because I didn't want to be a fanboy. Yeah, it can be a challenge. I'm not very fond of Seymour Duncan. I like the Pro Track is Chopper in the neck. So, me, I would expirement with Satch Track, because it's a Pro Track kind of pickup. But I know I'm biased and can't really answer your question subjectively. Lol.

Hi, first of all thank you for your video... I need some help, I have a Fender Strat SSS and one Super Distortion S (DP218) and a Pro track (DP188), i need to buy one more mini humbucker from dimarzio and I'm asking you if you can give an advice of which to buy. I'm thinking in Super Distortion S on the bdrige and Pro Track on the Middle, what pickups do you recommend for the neck position? can you tell more than one? what do you think about "the cruiser" pickup on the neck? thanks in advance
It is a high-speed, no load pot that makes it really easy to do volume swells. I bought it online here>>> Seymour Duncan YJM-500 Hi-Speed Volume Electric Guitar Pot 500k www.amazon.com/dp/B006KX3W0G/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_UnfWub0GJE06E
Anthony, hey bro, I am about to buy a new rail for my strat. I have the Andy Timmons loaded pickguard. Basically it's a Dimarzio At-1 in the bridge, and a Dimarzio Cruiser Bridge pickup in the middle and neck. The Cruiser sounds ridiculously good in the middle and the neck. The AT-1 is way to muddy for me. Saw you video, and the guys at Dimarzio said I might like the BC-1 in the bridge with the Cruisers I have, or the pro track in the bridge. BC-2 on your video sounds great. You mentioned having the Pro Track in the bridge before. What was your experience with it in the bridge? Mids? Bite? etc. Have you tried the BC-1? Any help greatly appreciated. I want a fat tone in the bridge, but not muddy or weak.
Hey bud! Thanks so much for stopping by my video. The Pro Track is a great pickup. I really liked it. Its a nice pickup in any position. It had a smoother character than the BC 2, for sure. Not warmer, but smoother. The clean sound I the neck for the pro track is almost jazzy. The lead sound in the neck reminds me of John Sykes lead sound in Whitesnakes "Is This Love". You know, that really lyrical lead tone. The heavy riff sound in the bridge great too, as is the clean sound. Kind of like a modernized Yngwie tone (listen to this video to see what I mean: ruclips.net/video/jtv8GEVWGKE/видео.html ) It sounds more vintage sounding, which I like. The BC 2 is punchier. It's breaks up more for chugging metal riffs. The Pro Track is also brighter, but not ice-pick bright. Listen to this other video of a song i wrote all recorded with the Pro Track: ruclips.net/video/traB_SVItLg/видео.html
Hey man, great playing. What are your thoughts on the BC in a 24" scale guitar (duo sonic) - would it potentially be too bassy? Do you have any experience with the BC-1? Thanks!
Is that Boss GT 100 going through an amp or powering a cab? It sounds absolutely awesome. I'm thinking of getting one of these soon. Also looking at the GT 1000 and the GX series.
@@TexasGuitarist I just got one more question. How many watts is the Sampson PA speaker? I'm assuming it requires an outside power source other than feeding off the GT-100 like a pair of headphones.
Yeah, bud, the Pro Track is one of my all time favorites. I am actually building a guitar and I am thinking about putting all Pro Tracks! Great, great pickup. You can hear the Pro Track in action here>>>> ruclips.net/video/traB_SVItLg/видео.html That song was all Pro Track.
So far as I know BC-2 is a lightly tweaked version of Tone Zone-S which are very popular. I am not sure how they are different really. I have the tone zone S and its less bright but I use 250 k volume pot...
The BC2 is like the Tone Zone S and the BC1 is like the Air Norton S, according to Dimarzio's website. Yeah, and the 250k pot will reduce treble, but also output.
hi, this video really helped me. Can I ask a question to you? If you had dimarzio mojoe in the bridge position, which pickup would you use for neck position to get joe satriani tone? I really can not decide just want to hear your comment. Best regards.
Memduh Nas Hey man! I know from an old video that Satch used the ProTrack in the neck a while back. I have some clips on my channel that have that pickup in the neck. I know Satch has different models out now, but I believe they are all based off the ProTrack. I could be wrong, but go check out DiMarzio's site to verify this. Maybe that will help. Here are the videos I was talking about: ruclips.net/video/traB_SVItLg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/jtv8GEVWGKE/видео.html
Thanks for the detailed answer first, yes his new "satch track" neck pickup is based on Pro Track. On the other hand his new premium ibanez guitar has chopper. I can't find satch track now on the stores so i wanted to buy something very close to it. I think I will buy Pro track. Thx;)
Memduh Nas I'm sure the Satch Models and all the other pro track type of pickups are wonderful, but the truth is I've always loved my ProTrack, and I felt no need to switch to another pick up. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised with how Musical and diverse that pick up is. One of my favorite pickups of all time. As a matter of fact, I'm putting together two different strats. And one of them for sure is going to have a pro track in it, and probably the second one also. I'm also going to put the DiMarzio Steve Morse pickups in one of them. Almost forgot to share this video, this is probably a better video than the other two. It's the same exact amp model and some on this video that you're commenting on, but it was with Pro Tracks in all the positions: ruclips.net/video/aveSr01GKL4/видео.html
I always used a Duncan Hot Rails and a JbJr neck version. Lately I loaded a DP188 ProTrack and it sounded dark and moot. Couldn't stant it.. it was all wired right and read the correct resistance. Does the BC2 and Chopper sound brighter than the ProTrack?
Hey bud. I think they are both dark p-ups. But the BC2 is more defined in the mid-range. I love them both. But the BC2 is better, for me, in the bridge. If you are looking for bright pick-ups in the bridge, these may not be the ones for you. Do you do a lot of high- gain stuff?
I like your tone and playing! Did you triet Pro Track in neck position? Is it too dark and lack of Chopper's bite? I'm looking for neck rail DiMarzio pickup that will perfectly match with my Evo2 in bridge position. I have Heavy Blues 2 in neck at this moment. It sounds great but I hate too noticible output and compression difference. Thinking about Chopper or Pro Track. Which one will you recommend?
Thank you so much for the comment!I actually really like the neck and the bridge when I put the pro tracks in there. It's just a different flavor. Look at my video "Boss GT 100 Bogner Tone". That one has the pro tracks in all the positions. My very first video on this channel is called "A bi ga in Ơi", and that one is the pro track in all the positions. The clean sounds, the distorted sounds, the stratty sounds, everything. Maybe that'll give you a good idea of what the pro track sounds like an all the positions.
Thanks a lot! I watched this vidoe and I liked Pro Track more than Chopper. It has somthing that Chopper misses. I had Chopper long time ago but I didn't liked. This pickup just not for me.
Alexander Kowalski I have a 500K pot in my guitar. I never use a 250k pot. I just prefer the sound with a 500K. and I'm not sure what you mean by "booms". I think that the chopper is a little bit more powerful than your standard Stratocaster pickup. So maybe you're just not used to the sound? You might have to adjust the amp equalizer. But give it a chance. It's quiet, sounds great, and is really versatile. And Powerful.
+TexasGuitarGuy sorry i was asking if you ran all 3 at 500k . volume and tone pots . or did u leave the tone pots 250k and just replaced the volume with a 500k . my chopper does sound very bassy and i currently have 250kmpots.
I think they are all 500. The Chopper can be bassy, but I never thought it was excessively so. Sometimes if your other pickups have less output or just more treble sounding, it can give the impression that the Chopper can be bassy. What are your other pickups on your guitar?
Wolfgang Rocker I got a great tone for you bro. I will do it by the end of the week. There's a reason I haven't posted any videos in awhile, so I need to really come back and hit it like never before.

Tell me about that yngwie pot..never heard of it
It is a high-speed, no load pot that makes it really easy to do volume swells.
Thanks man. It's going through A Samson PA speaker.
@@TexasGuitarist Cool! Is it going into a mixing board or just right into the Samson PA?
@@angusorvid8840 this one is straight into the PA. Recorded with my phones camera.
@@TexasGuitarist I just got one more question. How many watts is the Sampson PA speaker? I'm assuming it requires an outside power source other than feeding off the GT-100 like a pair of headphones.
Pro Track sounds the best for my taste.
Yeah, bud, the Pro Track is one of my all time favorites. I am actually building a guitar and I am thinking about putting all Pro Tracks! Great, great pickup.
You can hear the Pro Track in action here>>>> ruclips.net/video/traB_SVItLg/видео.html
That song was all Pro Track.
Here are the videos I was talking about:

It's the same exact amp model and some on this video that you're commenting on, but it was with Pro Tracks in all the positions:

Dude, I was very lucky I just called the distributor firm and they said we have Satch Track. I ordered it. I hope I get a good result :)
You rule, man!
Thanks, bud!

wow dude!!
I understand, I will be having the ProTracks in all positions on another strat I am putting together. I can't argue with you, they are great!
Bro,you have big hands!
I guess I do 😂
nice!
i just ordered a Satch track for the neck of my Strat, but this video was cool because I looked at all the pickups in your video.
whats your setting on the gt 100?
Sweet!
Thanks man!
did you leave the tone pots at 250k. I put a chopper in my neck and it's booms. I am going to swap the volume with a 500. did u have the same Issue
+TexasGuitarGuy
sorry i was asking if you ran all 3 at 500k . volume and tone pots . or did u
leave the tone pots 250k and just replaced the volume with a 500k . my chopper does sound very bassy and i currently have 250kmpots.
I think they are all 500. The Chopper can be bassy, but I never thought it was excessively so. Sometimes if your other pickups have less output or just more treble sounding, it can give the impression that the Chopper can be bassy. What are your other pickups on your guitar?
cool
Thanks bud.
Good paying!...
Heyy man can u please do more videos of riffs please 😊
Wolfgang Rocker Do you want guitar lessons? Like riff construction?
TexasGuitarist
I wouldn't mind 😉 but id love see can you get that metallica megadeth type sound with the rhythms?
Wolfgang Rocker I got a great tone for you bro. I will do it by the end of the week. There's a reason I haven't posted any videos in awhile, so I need to really come back and hit it like never before.
