It has a really complete 10m HAM mode, with repeater offsets, and CTCSS, etc (that's what you did at 9:20). I have worked many 10m FM repeaters with mine. A fantastic little rig that works well, and is really cheap! Also, on AM mode you are getting 18 watts of PEP power, but your power meter is average power reading only. It's a clean radio. All of the new Qixiang built radios (AnyTone, Radioditty, etc) are very clean. Also, this is the AT-500M2 - the M2 part is important, as the older version AT-500M does not do all this cool 10m stuff! 73
Looks like the Radioddity CS47, except for the display and controls are on the mic. A negative for the CS47 there is no frequency counter. Thank you for the informative video. 73's🎙KD9OAM🎧
Radio does some tricks. There is a outher trick with that . I do not remember button to hold then turn on. Can switch some bands without moving that jumper. I don't think we have AM/FM in 12 meter band plan. we do in 10 meter. 29 to 29.7 MHZ . Some have done POTA on 29 MHZ AM ! That extra power explains the big heatsink on final. LOL 73
this bloke looks like the other bloke who does ham videos are they bloody brothers . or he from another dimension .?subscribed not sure why .you could cut the wire and put a button to close it or open it dadaaalaaaa
10 meter deals! Thanks for the video Steve! 73
This is a neat little radio!
Thanks ❤
12:00 Nice box of spare parts there T.O. I think I have competition. LOL!
Sometimes I wish I didn't have so much "junk"

Did you find a power supply in Marana ?
I did! We'll take a look at it on the live stream tonight.

A little something for everyones tastes, yep. I like this little radio.
Cool video tnx Man!
You Bet!
I would connect a switch to the white wire, to choose between 10m and 12m when I want
That's a great idea!
So what is the point of getting on 10 and 12m if you don't have SSB? Curious.
Well since you asked: a) because it's fun b) because FM on 10 c) what's your beef with AM?

Are you A Clone?
No. But if I was a clone, that's how I would answer that question anyway... so you never know.
