Bo Burnham's website has a question when you click on it asking if you're happy or not and if you click no you get directed to his dogs blog fulled with pictures of his beautiful pup and it's just so perfect
This, my friend, is a comedic masterpiece. It's more than just comedy, and I cant imagine how you did it, but it's clear you put a tremendous amount of effort into it. This is easily one of the best hours I've ever seen. You may never read this, but know that youre still gaining fans from this special. It was truly an experience. Thank you, Bo.
Every single year since this special came out, I've watched it during new years. I'd start watching around 11:30pm, and would reign in the new year, midway through this special. Tonight will be no different. Bo Burnham is amazing and this show is one of the best comedy shows to date
"Left Brain, Right Brain" is one of if not the quintessential BB song. It drives right to the heart, conceptually, lyrically and melodically. But 10 years after this was released I have a new appreciation and perspective on it. I always thought the "Comedy" conclusion was just a way to land the plane and wrap up the song, or maybe that he created the song as a way to articulate his twisted relationship with comedy. For me, someone who is an artist and STILL figuring out what I want to do with my life, this song really hits home because for every one of life's struggles comes with blaming yourself for either being too analytical or too emotional. What the song means to me now is that it's not about blaming one side of the brain vs the other, it's about finding your thing in life that allows for the best balance between the two. Comedy was Bo's thing. I hope you've found yours or are working on it. I can't wait to see what mine is.
I've watched Bo since I was 12... I am 26 years old in 7 days and I couldn't be happier with one of my favourite comedians pieces of art. This is a classic to me. Thank you Robert.

I'm from Spain and started watching his content when I was 14, back when I didn't speak English and I couldn't watch this beacuse it doesn't have subtitles. I'm 20 now and fluent, and finally whatching this is so special and emotional to me. Thanks Bo for making comedy that makes me laugh over and over through the years, thanks for not falling on the mainstream and always trying to give us something to think on top of the comedy, you will always be one of my all time favourite artists.
you can really see the roots of his comedy, it's very rough, all over the place but his stage personality and style are seeping through the world has changed and so has he, for better and for worse
Happy 10 year anniversary to this amazing show! I literally had to wake up at 12:00 in the morning to comment this and watch the show whilst trying not to fall asleep. worth ittttt
First time watching this special. Everyone talks about the jokes, as they should, but I don't see nearly enough recognition for "left brain, right brain" or "We think we know you", as an artist, even more so a musician, to see his passion and knowing he's actually pretty introverted when he leaves the stage really hits, the way he addresses criticism and the people who hate on his stuff gets me in a way that many "serious" forms of expression haven't gotten me in a long time. the way he ends in such a dramatic but real way makes this special all the better. This was my first time giving Bo's stuff a try and I can't wait for when I have time to watch more. really looking forward to watching Inside next.
Nobody seems to be talking about just how ballsy it was to include bits where he purposefully messed up. If he had legitimately knocked over his water, hit a wrong note, or so much as been slightly off from his timing before or after the jokes were used, he would've looked foolish and arrogant for trying to pull off this self-aware humor. I can't imagine how much practice and rehearsal this must have taken to pull of so seamlessly (like some of the multitasking... what?).
After years of listening to bo I only now realized that “hello patient 24602” at 20:05 is a reference to les miserables where the prisoners number is 24601.
There was a period in my life where I would toss this on and play world of Warcraft every single morning for the better part of 4 months. Still just an incredible work of art.

Like all of the theatrical, musical, lighting, and comedic cues that Bo 100% nails. The entire show. Does not miss a single beat. FOR A WHOLE. FUCKING. HOUR. The amount of dedication it takes to perform this is next level. We never deserved this then and we still now, but goddamn is it beautiful to watch

@@candycat3753 the reason why I mentioned Hamilton is because similar to bo Burnham, it had to be rehearsed but on a much larger scale.

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH so many l a y e r s
I just realised how the show starts with someone making presumptions and ends with a song about almost the same thing.
"We think we know you."
This was very inspiration thanks for this ❤
Bo Burnham can honestly write one of the deepest song if he tried making a serious song.
