Ignition is huge for a big bore, get a vortex and you won't lose all your top end with a big bore kit with a stock ignition. It'll feel like the stock power curve, just more power everywhere.
Refreshing to see someone NOT use a smart carb or a lectron and then claim it makes the bike run better just because they couldn’t figure out how to use brass.
I have a lectron for another build but this one was era specific so had to stay oem Carb. I don’t have any issues with the oem carb at all and no complaints.
@@Tylerw129 this build came out epic brother. Excellent job and I commend you in the attention to detail and the effort that took to complete. Appreciate you sharing. If I may suggest with the new project, do yourself a favor and steer clear of the lectron on that one too. It will run 80 percent as good as a properly jetted carb at all times. You will always be chasing jetting off bottom to have it happy at bigger throttle openings. Not to mention they rob power huge off the bottom end. I went through it with them and their customer service too. Their rep lied to me about how long they had been a company as I was staring at their est date on their website. It now sits on my shelf, no longer gives me fits trying to fatten the bottom end while leaning out the mid. Waiting to be sold when I finally get around to posting it. I run a keihin that dicks racing modified now on all my carb bikes. I’d much rather swap a pilot and a main and make a needle clip adjust in a worst case scenario and have my bike crisp and perfectly jetted than take the lazy way out and say “good enough” with the lectron. Killer work dude. Enjoy that thing. 🙌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Do more of these podcasts. I love bike builds and I loved listening to you 2 discuss this badass replica 🔥🤘
That bike is AWESOME....beautiful work!
Great Bike , Great Era, Great Build !
Amazing looking job! The only difference I see is the forks. I’m pretty sure Jeremy’s had like a bronze coloured upper tubes.
Beautiful dirt bike

It’s only a 265 so it doesn’t have that Kay over a 295 has. I know what you mean though.
Nice build.🤙
Was it mentioned where the graphics were obtained from?
