LA could use more bike lanes. It's flat the weather is amazing but it's designed to keep you from enjoying it haha.
Glad to hear things are on the up and up

Hey man I just discovered your video. I’ve actually lived in Hollywood for the past 12 years and am relocating to DTLA. This video was really helpful and you got everything right! Great job!
Also, I liked and subscribed! Great content!

To answer question at 3:18, the walkability makes it significantly easier to raise a family. My 3x daughters lived here all their life (14-19 years) in a highly optimized 650 sq ft condo (with 3 bedrooms) and cannot imagine living ouside a city or in a car dependent neighborhood. It feels like a small city, compared to London or New York.

Thank you SO much for all of this insight! I just bought a condo downtown as a self-proclaimed young professional so I really appreciate all of this info!

San Fernando Valley resident here. Good video. As you said, DTLA isn't London or Times Square, but it is what it is.

You're sounding a bit American here and there. It's amazing how accents can change if you're not around too many of your fellow native speakers.

If you don’t mind May I ask you a question on how dangerous it is to be walking around in LA after 6pm for commute? I’ll be commuting for work from Downtown area to Fashion District area which is only 30mins walk but everyone keeps saying I must drive even in that short distance. I’m thinking of a bike option but just wanted to ask locals from LA on how dangerous it actually is .. for a 30s woman to be walking around even late afternoon not even night time ..!!

No matter where you are in a major city I would always be weary once dark. Generally from mid March to October it doesn’t get dark until after 8pm so you should be fine. Just be aware of your surroundings. Also there are plenty of electric scooters on the sidewalk that can make that 30 min walk a 10 min journey. Could also carry a pepper spray too.

You probably should be ok. I lived in San Francisco which is way more rougher than LA imo. LA downtown is like the Tenderloin in SF. No one bothered me in SF. Never made eye contact with people hanging on the streets and powered walked through.

Just don’t be flashing your blings when you are walking around DTLA. Also dress simple. Lookouts are everywhere.

DTLA has really grown over the years and continues to do so. Biggest investors in public transportation, specifically Metro trains.

i just found your channell by accident... bro.... first off. I first thought this was a travel channel and was totally blown away that it was a actually a tool to promote your real estate business. what a cool idea to make a youtube channel that has a travel show vibe vs a salesy real estate vibe to promote yourself. its so refreshing. we live in an era where everyone is trying to sell you something online and this channel doesn't come off that way at all. it comes off like your sharing your passion for discovering LA with us. your content is great and interesting, its shot well and the marketing, the thumbnails, your website, everything is on point. please don't change. youtube is a hard animal but it rewards great and consistent work eventually. most of all you come off genuine and extremely knowledgable. you hooked me and made me invested in you and your business immediately. Id totally work with you. end of rant lol
2nd please make a video on the larchmont neighborhood. i think its such a beautiful and unique part of LA
3rd you walked by my apartment several times lol and the year you moved to america, i tried to move to London unsuccessfully from Austin and that led me to moving to LA
4th. I've lived all around LA over 12 years and downtown I've now decided is what i like best. im a weird animal though that loves the hustle and bustle of city life. for those of you wanting a big city vibe in LA and many things to do as well as being able to live without a car and have all your shopping needs surrounding you with no need to leave dtla, it will suit you. the homelessness is honestly more aggressive than ever but that is not just downtown that is the whole city at this point.
    but i love it.
