This set and the Grand Finals at CEO where that kill screen pops up several times but the person stays alive makes Ultimate so hype, suspenseful and scary,
I've played matches where that screen comes up like 5 times & we still live & shit gets so hype!! It's sick man!!

Samsora really refined his Joker counterplay which already did series work at Super Smash Con.
Namely he commited even more to platform and air camping and used float to avoid getting chipped too much by Gun Special.
Also I can’t help but feel that Bob-Omb pull in Game 3 empowered him and helped stay composed for the rest of the tourney. Lol
true, gotta give Leo some credit for just being a good player tho :p. Samsora did do really well tho

JFishnets24 I totally agree, Shine 2019 was my first tournament I have ever been to and the experience compared to watching the sets on stream is so much better. I encourage anyone who can afford it and is at the very least nearby the next major event to attend. It’s just one of those events that you have to be there for to experience.

This was a very diverse cast of characters. Top 8 alone had 13 different characters (and about 18 if we also include the entirety of the 12 finalists).
Additionally, the 4 people who made 13th also played unique characters.

Dee Cee I know people like to hate on ultimate but the diversity in characters in top 8 is so refreshing compared to smash 4 and even melee

....and how glad I am that it didn't.
I called Sam winning in Twitch chat honestly. Despite the reset I could tell he started feeling himself in game 3 of the first set. I actually got more worried when he was on tournament game since he plays better from behind.
Amadeous Magarev Yeah I feel like that Bob-Omb kill really got his head back into the game after he was already starting to clean up his play. Even when he got resetted later he never crumbled

Seriously want to say this. The sets Leo and Sam have been instant classics , SSC and now shine. Boy so proud of Samsora, so happy for him. His a God! His peach is unreal, his peach is NERFED and he still going crazy
Granted peach was the best character in the game and is still easily top 5. Love Sam but peach is good with nerfs

Genesis 6 as well. MK Leo's Ike vs Sam's Peach is some of my favorite sets

Pabel Hernández because doing drag downs is easy while compared to getting a down tilt and 4 nairs gtfo both are skilled and joker isn’t cheap. Leo is literally the only top joker and his tech is godlike fuck off
Samsora adapted sooooo well to MKLeo. It did take a while, but Samsora had the FULL download on Leo during the last game.

Im new to the scene. I have only been watching SSBU MkLeo matches for the week and this is actually the first time I've seen him lose. What a great game, Samsoras great mental game throughout the match seemed like a game changer compared to the other matches I watched
