Loved your suggestions so much that i asked my daughter for playdough last Christmas. Now as I'm 63 it was met with a lot of laughter...and my 3 year old grandson wasn't too pleased that his Yaya wouldn't share lol!
hahaa -yes! My youngest son wanted to know why I had "his" Play-Doh in my craft space. I had to inform him that I bought that just for me - hands off my Play-Doh stash 😆
My grandson's none too impressed either, as I have appropriated the Play-Doh stash he plays with when he visits me! My granddaughters, however, absolutely love the idea, and enjoy your videos with me :)
Really like the fact you get straight to the point in your videos and always informative. Thanks for sharing, very inspirational!🎉
Thank you so much! I always feel like I have so much to show I have to jump right in, no time to waste 😄
Thank you! I love how you demo very realistic and practical ideas and focus very clearly on that; too many videos out there have presenters who ramble on, and on, about things that have no relation to the stated theme of the video, so at the end of 30 minutes, I might have received 5-10 minutes of helpful information. You, however, are focused, yet also relaxed; your voice is very soothing. Well, before I ramble on any further, i will say thank you and I look forward to your next video.
Wow, thank you so much for this feedback! I can't tell you how many times I have clicked a RUclips video and, after awhile. said to myself "get to the point already" 😆 So I do try to keep things succinct. Thank you for noticing!
I love the positive and negative prints side by side. There is absolutely a difference using play dough. And using all these different textured sources: brilliant!! Thank you so much for sharing👍
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!!
I just kept saying “wow” with every print. So many great ideas and textures. I never would have thought to use Play-Doh, but I love the designs it makes. New subscriber now. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve seen you use play dough before and didn’t see enough benefit of going the extra step, at least with the little bit I tried. But seeing the side by side comparison of the two, I’m loving the play dough method ones!! ❤❤❤ You’ve inspired me to do play dough again! Thanks!
You know, I do Play-Doh stuff a lot and even I sometimes I am over it because it is just a bunch of extra steps but then I get something so cool with it that it makes me go back lol Hope it works out for you, thank you!!
the playdough makes such clean marks. i'm so glad you did another one of these. i see a lot of people out there starting to copy this idea. you're a trend setter :) thanks for sharing your discoveries!
She really is blazing new trails in gel printing and presents so well. I am surprised her channel isn’t growing faster.
Wow, thank you so much for this!! I love to see what people can do with the technique 😄Watching other people do it has made me understand the technique better somehow. Anyway, thank you so much! ❤️
You are tremendously kind, thank you so much!! Wow
Such a wonderful video full of goodies. Thanks ❤
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! And you are very welcome 😊
I see a definite advantage of using Play Doh and that is not having to wash off your texture plates. I also know what I am going to do with all the used up spiral notebooks from past classes. Genius!
That is so true! If I don't clean them off right away they will not get cleaned lol - and that can disrupt the creative flow sometimes 😄Thank you!
@@CreatedandMadeStudios You taught this in your first Playdoh vid - when you used household items like baskets, etc. We don't want paint on a basket - placemat - or whatever! I'm loving your ideas, thank you!
Great video - my new favourite gel printing channel! Your ideas are so doable, love the inspiration. Thank you
I am a newbie to gel printing and thank you for your clever suggestions.
Wow, Shawna, this was so helpful! Thank you! I really appreciated seeing both side by side. Thanks again :).
Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed this! The side by side surprised me at times but I'm glad I did it 😊
Yeah... now i have to buy playdoh! Andgo to the cake decorating aisles! Lol
inspired! Thank you!
Playdough, wow, it's fantastic! I used to make cakes and have some of those tools
Wonderful, you have a head start 😀 thank you!
Wow so cool. Love your creative process. Pure genius. Thank u so much 4 sharing 💓
You are so kind, thank you!!
Thank you for this video, very informative ❣️❣️❣️
Very enjoyable and inspiring! You are such a great teacher. Love your content too.
Thank you so much, that means a lot!! ❤️

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!!
So many great ideas! You’re an awesome teacher!
Thank you so much, that is very kind!! Glad you enjoyed 😊
This is another awesome video! As I was watching, I thought of the Gallery Glass texture plate that I had, and then you pulled it out too! So many great ideas, as always. Thanks for sharing!
Haha! That thing is actually pretty cool! Thank you so much :D
Wonderful demo! Saved for reference ❤
Super clever to use play dough! 💚
Thank you 🤗
Really great videos and ideas! And appreciate your format also.
Thanks so much!
Bought some playdo today because of you!! 😂❤
Haha 😄 I need to buy some Hasbro stock or something. Have fun!
A plethora of plates!
Right? 😄
Thanks for the inspiration Shawna....i have gel plates that I've used less than 5 times... Going to try these techniques 😊
Wonderful, have fun!! And thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing ❤ so helpful ❤
Glad it was helpful, thank you so much!
Amazing textures❤ love it!
Thank you! 😊
I love the playdough look. Have you tried drying the playdough to keep it for a regular print? I enjoy all your videos on making prints
Hi there! I actually have, yes. It did not work out well. Its just hard as a rock and whatever makes it great at removing paint off the plate is not so great when its hard unfortunately. Thanks for watching :D
Such a helpful video!!!! Thank you!
You're so welcome, thank you for watching!
You are amazing! Love all of your videos 💗. I’m now thinking about how I can cross pollinate my craft supplies. I have a lot of soap molds that I can use in a new way! Thank you 😊
Oh yes, I love cross pollination! 😄 Thank you!
You are marvelous 🥰
Thank you!
Must. Get. The dough! Question - after you use it on paint do you just knead it in and all is well? What a great way to get a different look AND elongate the time of use of your texture plates!
Welcome back! Missed ya!
Hi Sheila!! How's it going? Yes - after you use it you don't even need to knead it -ha- very much. Just roll it up and start over or put it away. The paint dries within seconds on the dough and it doesn't transfer off of it. I keep trying to stop using it because I use it so much but it is so useful I can't put it down 😄 Missed ya too - I am so happy to see your channel growing!! Love it!
Thanks!
No problem! Thanks for watching 😊
What made you think that play dough would work on the gel plat?
lol...I had some little Play-Doh cups in my craft space because I was making gift bags for my kids' birthdays and there was an extra one. I was just messing around with it...Smashed it on a stencil, saw what happened and that led to me inking it with my ink pad which led to everything else haha. I had no idea it would work at all but I will try almost any crafty thing at least once 😆
great stuff!
Thanks so much!
I don't see the link for making textured video gel plates...
Does the paint start to break down the play dough texture the more you use it or does it hold up pretty good?
Hello! It does start to get sticky after some time. But, it does take a good long while for that to happen. It still works fine but you will get more sticking to items when its older Play-Doh.
I've never seen rubbing plates at the craft store, what stores sell them, and what section can you find them in?
Hello! I actually got them all on Amazon. I have multiple links in the description for the ones I have and there are other sets on there but, you're right, I have never really seen those at the crafts stores.
@@CreatedandMadeStudios okay thanks!
I bought a set from Blick. Cedar Canyon rubbing plates.
@@jondoh587 thanks!
Thank you for sharing. Have you ever used Simon Hurley Stamping Foam instead of Play Doh?
Hello! I do have some stamping foam, yes. I think I prefer the Play-Doh because you can just rip off whatever size I need, smash it on something, print, roll it back up and do it all over again - so quick and easy. But, if I want to stamp the same thing repeatedly, the Simon Hurley foam is definitely the way to go as it holds its shape much better of course. Thanks for watching :)
