Be honest though did you ever try out with the duct tape? I read the book I watched the film hours and hours of it. He used to get these insane throws from incredible distances. I think you can still find the pdf online for free. That's an old name. He was the first one to introduce combat knife throwing. A lot of people still think it's impossible to throw a knife and use it as combative tool. Adam I'm telling you with your accuracy every knife is a bullet.
@@TheRealRomansThirteen Anyone who says there's no room for throwing blades in real combat... especially when firearms are not involved... is nuts. Shurikenjutsu is fairly well documented, certainly, and modern no-spin knife throwing is no different, fundamentally. As you said, especially with Adam's skill, those knives are terrifying. Adam, I've not tried the Thorn method, per se, but I've watched a lot of the footage, and I feel like I've learned a lot from it; Thorn was quite a trailblazer. I'm looking forward to the video.👍👍
A complete beginner I quickly Mastered Ralph Thorns technique comma as well as your Technique and everybody else's and then I woke up comma damn period happy to be here today thank you exclamation point Adam you have amazing skills thanks for sharing them with us exclamation point please pardon my piss poor punctuation it's a virtual keyboard audio driven peace out.
I just have to say after watching you for years now you literally are one of my best examples along with Larz Anderson on how if someone wants something bad enough and works towards it you can gain any skill you want. Yinz are literally breaking standards and changing the game for real.
Hi, Lars method is useless in Combat or Hunting. He use a Children poundage and speed up his Video. All hes achievment are on Video. He never turn up in live Archery Contest ;)
@AdamCeladin your very welcome. Ive picked up a few tricks off you as well and although I dont make videos on martial arts or knife throwing it has still been a huuuge part of my life so really enjoy your content!
I remember the 'thorn style' videos! I found your channel soon after. Started with pinch grip and after a few months of practice was able to no-spin. That was years ago and i'm still throwing almost daily. I like to jump obstacles and throw mid-flight. So fun! Don't let your neighbors see ;D
It's my favourite technique and the one I use the most in my training. I have always thought that the no-spin is the most useful throwing technique for any situation.
Świetny kanał,masz super umiejętności.Popełniałem dużo błędów ale z Twoimi filmami i chęciami zaczyna już wychodzić całkiem niezle.Wspaniała zabawa...pozdrawiam z Polski
Ralf Thorn certainly was cool and got me started in No Spin. Fedin put even more backspin from the hips to the style. Both got away from neutral balance knives to bias weight to the back...or even front, but not neutral in the middle. I had a heck of a time working it all out, but then that was before you and Tom Tom put out your content. The Combat Thrower was another good source. Now there are loads more adding their take, some better than others. Wish I had started 25 years earlier! Anyhow, it is a great fun sport for anyone. Best piece of advice is get some decent weight arrow style knives. Medium to heavy for girls, and heavyish for men, just never feather light weight rubbish. Those cheap, often sold as "throwing knives"; are just junk and a waist of money and really difficult to throw even by those with good technique. Another great video.
YOU ARE SO AMAZING AND SKILFULL DEAR BROTHER😳☺️😊 I SAW THOSE SPARKS IN BEGINNING OF VIDEO TOO ✨️ HAVE AN AMAZING DAY OR NIGHT AND WHOLE YOUR LIFE MAY BE AMAZING !!!🤗😊
Ah, so you do know of R Thorn, this guy taught me no spin throwing literally from watching his videos from 2010, it's is a very deadly skill you got if one has the determination to become good at it, it took me hundreds of hours accumulative time over 12 years it must have, dunno how many hours exactly but it takes time to become as good as this
Man oh man... We need to see some videos, brother! Share the fruits of your years with us! 👍👍 And Adam- Agreed; Thorn absolutely had the right idea, in a time when almost no one in the West was doing this stuff.
@AdamCeladin It IS The best for combat purposes, but one has to be very determined, because it isn't easy, you make it look easy 😆😆😆, I could make it look easy, but telling you guys, it isn't easy, pals that tried to learn it gave up after a few weeks because it is was too damn much work and too difficult, as said it takes a certain character learn a skill like this, for the majority it is easier to carry a handgun, six year old kid could kill with a handgun, doesn't take much skill, despite how much the up play awww, the training you need to handle and firearm
@@TheShurikenZone I only made several videos of when I first cracked it back around 2012, I still have them, should get them up on YT Channel, but I am a lot better now, nowhere as great as Adam, but good enough, more than adequate at 7 yards; I researched that Maximum is about 7 to 9 yards is best to attack with a throwing knife when the target knows you are there; because beyond 9 yards they can see the knife 🔪 coming and can dodge it
@@AdamCeladin I swear by it; it has become as instinctive as breathing Bud, I would go so far as to say it is the only throwing method guys ought to be good at, Master R Thorn with the duct tape to balance knives is great advice for beginners, but he was right in saying that balance or whatever you throw doesn’t matter to a Skilled thrower; You get to the point you can throw and stick anything in 🥢🍴🥄🍽️🪥🧹🪠😆😆😆

From start go with simple baseball technique like Ralph did and work on step back drills around 2,5 meters, it's best technique anyway, skanf throwers don't have almost no results in comps technique is too over complicated IMO looks mainly cool on video and that's it,)
I just got out of the hospital and can't really stand so sitting down throwing still haven't got the skill to hundred percent stick it but working on it
Hey Z, i was wondering where you at brother :)) The better videos i made the more youtube try to shadowban me its crazy....Tomorrow 6pm new cool video bro,)) See you there
That would be knife throwinig comedy material with full spinn combat - measuring distance to enemy with tape measure marking distance with spray paint and start throwing :) or measure enemy with stick measure . laser distance meter - level for good measure and so many other funny ways to illustrate what would it actually take to make full spinn combat work - unlike the fullspin that in movies is totally wrong
Great skills. Could you test the throwing power ? Spin vs. non-spin method. Preferably with the same knife, dagger e.g. GLOCK 78. Or throwing knives, but with the same weight, sharpening and blade profile. Just not with the same gel as last time XD. Preferably with boneless meat. , in clothing, if it were possible to also cover it with a piece of soft ballistics such as Kevlar Zdrowia i Sily
This is me learning with my non dominant left hand. I also learned to throw backhanded with my left no spin. If got it down the first day. I just need to build up the power in my left. Sometimes I feel like I'm throwing like a little girl that way lol. ruclips.net/video/hFbUiaI9wu8/видео.htmlsi=v8wMkgMVzQcmJAfq

under arm is the hardest for me, but i do love throwing knives. i had an old dart board and beat a mate in a game of round the clock. he had darts i military half spinned to victory. p.s. the dart board didn't lats long lol
The best knife throwing for fun tutorials on You tube. i see a great combat puncher that gots to be able to hit from any angle, distance and power with left or right.
You yourself have said that the no spin throw is only useful up to around 6 or 7 meters, and that a very well trained expert could maybe hit accurately up to 20 meters. You also operate under the assumption that you always carry knives in your hand ready for throwing. I think you vastly underestimate an enemy's ability to close a distance of 6 meters quickly. You'd be shot or stabbed 9 times out of 10 before you could draw your knife and raise your arm for a throw. As a fun hobby or sport, this is great. But as a practical combat tool, i think there are a thousand better options.
i guess adam carries his knives always with him bro. when he leaves his house he always takes the keys, the mobile and a set of knives with him. fun aside, one question to you. lets say you are about to attack a guy carrying a dagger that is 6 meters away. how likely is it that you feel the urge to close the distance to that guy. i mean he is carrying a dagger. it is probably very dangerous if you get into hand to hand range. and then how likely is it that you expect getting hit by a perfectly sticking dagger when you are 6 meters away. you will probably be very surprised.
Who else already tried Knife Throwing Method by Ralph Thorn?
