Crazy fact this was released when I was 14 I'm now 30 and I'm still listening to it 💪😆
*ME TOO*
im 31. heard it today for the first time in years at work. for the first time in literally 10 years, we decided to play something else then 60s, 70, 80s hits. we played 2000s pop and this song eventually came on. almost wanted to cry because the song immediately took me back to the days when i was just a junior in highschool.
90s ganggang
dude same! im 31 and me this song go WAYYY back. haha
Haha, I was 11 when this came out and I'm now 27. :)
I didn't hear it for the first time until I was around 13-14, though.
THE best sampling of Supertramp's Breakfast in America. Grew up with that song. I've also loved this one since it came out.
Solid album
I love Breakfast in America! And I also love Supertramp!
I can't believe that this is almost 10 years old. I was like 8 when this first came out and I sang it everyday until now. Wow the memories man, good times
Same here
same cept I was 9
This song came out in 05 its 12 years old now.
It’s not, it’s actually 44 years old; Supertramp in 1979
Fez parte da minha infância essa música , todos os dias ficava ainsioso para ver o clipe na MTV
This song is a year older than me but I grew up on this music and still love it
It's a stolen song.
@@shashankmongrel rlly? whats the real song
@@Forp_ Supertramp - Breakfast in America
@@shashankmongrel Its a sampled song, they literally give credit to the original in the description. They probably got permission to use it from the original.
Now Vanilla Ice saying his song is original from Under Pressure could be considered stolen.
@@shashankmongrel As a "DJ" and "drummer" you should understand what a sample is.
"I love you more than I planned"
"I love you more than I planned too"
Payne😀💔
Yup but everything else was a lie 😀
this broke me
Betsiee OMG STAWWPP
DUPLICITY
😭
That cupid kid is probably 20 now... shit, I'm old AF. How did that happen?

Fun fact is thats Princeton
Acey Eliza I'm already dead.
Acey Eliza savage
he is princeton from mindless behaviour he is 20 now
Can we talk about the cupid😍😍❤ he's soooo adorable!!!🤭🥺
why has this song decided to trend out of nowhere
it’s in a popular harry styles fan fic
yeahh but harry styles stans like this song since last year because of a fan fiction
I actually searched for it not knowing the name just now lol
He’s on tik tok which is the app everyone has
it's trending on tiktok because of a harry styles fanfic that has this song in it and blew up in the recent few months lol
The little Cupids duetted with this video on tik tok last night. This is Princeton Perez from Mindless Behavior and Avion Baker from The Backyardians. Shoutout to Katy Perry for casting her
Aww they duetted each other 😊
They dated actually
@@mumumiel27 wow? Did they really? She did say she had a crush on him @ that time as kids, but she never confirmed that. Plus she didn’t know he was actually Princeton from MB at first because she only knew him by government name
This song gives nostalgic vibes, so fresh and classy whenever I hear this
Once upon a time Katy Perry was just Travie McCoy's Girlfriend. Now she is the famous one & these new kids don't even know who he is or that he exists.
Is math related to science
@@fussel676 😂😂😂😂
Ameizing✊🏻😔
And the ones who knows he exist prob doesn't know that this song is sampled from a supertramp song.... 🤔😅
Back in 06 I didn’t know who Katy Perry was til 2 years later
in 2006 "Wow this girl so сute"
in 2020 "Holly fk its Katy Perry"
pretty much
Wym she was relevant is 2006-2014 most notably so IMO anyways lol
@@jeffhelmick8065 exactly
@@jeffhelmick8065 i kissed a girl came out in 2008 so this is false
@@nickd7003 do you even know anything about Katy Perry lol? Like at all? She’s had a record label since 1999 when she was 15 years old, she released her first studio album in 2001 as Katy Hudson maybe you should take 5 minutes to do some research before attempting an insult. So if you didn’t know who Katy perry was at that time that’s your fault.
back in the days when the videos actually used to tell a story
Would recommend NF
now you old enough to understand what the old people complain about
Ok boomer

Scott Walker ikr, i used to hear this song all the time on the radio
Same
The nostalgia I feel on this song is crazy, what an amazing hit
fr
I used to listen to this song back in middle school. My mom heard me listening to it and really liked it. She would sometimes ask me to play it while we were just be talking. Anyway, shes gone now but this song is still on my playlist over a dozen years later. It aint going anywhere. Love you mom.
this song hits different after duplicity
Me smoking a cigarette: 😶🚬
fr im obsessed
I need an update
I’m cryinnnnnnnnnnn
I have such a vivid memory of listening to this song as we were pulling up to a hotel in Florida in like 2007. Crazy how 1 song can make you relive so many memories
1st girl treated him the best. Opened her home, did his hair!, cooked, playful, took care of herself. She just wanted some financial help since he was there all the time.
Usually how it goes
I'm guessing you have had this happen to you
@@lucky5th2 we've ALL had this kinda shit happen before!!!

joli minou he was too busy pursuing his rap dream bro
I thank RUclips for recommending this old but good song, with real stories and without so many egocentric angles of the singer.
I've had cupid's chokehold & stereo hearts saved on spotify since the dawn of time. Earlier this week I finally did myself justice by going through their whole discography. I only realized is that I let my younger self down by not doing this sooner.
Used to bump “As Cruel As School Children” back when I was 15. Good times
Gym Class Heroes deserved more, you are absolutely correct.
I NEVER REALIZED IT WAS PATRICK OMFG.
Marcos B
Patrick Stump. Lead singer of Fall Out Boy. He sings the "take a look at my girlfriend" part.
Yaaas
Tiffmidon I didn't know either! I always told myself "Hm, he sounds so familiar. I wonder who he is?"
Tiffmidon Lol. I was like "I saw this guy." prntscr.com/81xkp6 xD
me too
FUN FACT: Song is about Katy Perry, hence why she is in the video, her and Travis (the singer) were dating at the time.
Well shit
So I’m guessing she still wasn’t the 1
No shit
Thx sushi
Song is about a pathetic attemp to be Supertramp kid. "Im a loser, what a joker. Im playing my jokes upon you. When there's nothing better to do". Listen and learn teens. One ask me once she listen breakfast in america, "when did they this gym class cover?"
Who’s with me in 2024?
Nah 2029
Im impressed by the fact no one so far has mention that the 2 first stanzas are from the song "Breakfast in america"(plus most of the melody) by Supertramp, more specifically writen by Roger Hodgson around 1979.
I just told my grandkid about Supertramp had this first, I am 70 and they’re 16. Told them to listen to “Breakfast in America “
omg i thought i was the only one to know supertramp in this comment section, this band is truly a bless
Thanks you, this is the only comment I've seen mentioning them
Thanks, my brain was like wtf where did I hear that sound before 😵💫
Same with angel of the morning by Julie Newton and angel by shaggy not totally related but I think its crazy how much just kinda gets lost to time where ppl can bring it up again like it's new and most ppl honestly don't know its not
Who else came here cause the song just randomly popped in their head?
I remembered the intro and i had to search “rap song about girlfriend cooking” into google and miraculously i found it
Lamo my girl was plan a song she can't find before and then she was on chat and someone told her the song then this shit pops in my head 5 secs later 🤣
"take a look at my girlfriend" was in my head the whole day, now i searched on youtube, and here i am
Me trying to find songs that have good jams my toddler can dance to that i can listen to cause i hate most all music now adays. And he loves the baadadada part hahah.
