Excellent demonstration with explanation. This I enjoyed very much. Sixty five years back I learnt different types of knots as a boy Scout. I know very well the Usefulness of 'Cub, Scout & Rovers' movement. Most unfortunately modern days children do not get taste of camp fire. Schools do not support such extra curricular activities now a days. Same is the case with St. John Ambulance Brigade. These activities should be encouraged to build a strong & disciplined nation.
October 12, 2019 ~ Thank You ~ I needed to learn this in order to start a Loom Knitting project by tying the yarn into a slip knot on the side peg of the loom. I'm making a hat.
That is the most complex way ever to do a slipknot it should be a one-step process a slipknot tie takes no more than four steps but in the middle of the rope Slipknot it only takes one hand to do.
such a kerfuffle about explaining that simple slip knot. something we all know and discover around the age of ...6??? you don't need to create bites etc. you just make a loop bring the rope over the back and pull another loop through with your thumb
If you don't need a longer explanation (some people do), many videos have "quick tie" versions. Check out this one for the slip knot: ruclips.net/video/wGQ6kYrh0jc/видео.html

Your hands are so cool with those veins you must work alot or do some inventions or cool things for your grandchildren or children
I needed this to understand how a slip lead or slip collar will affect my dog (the slip should respond & loosen when the dog stops pulling)
Thank you, helped a lot :)

Overcomplicated
Too many or much unnecessary explanations
