God has placed before us the choice between evil and good. I struggled with these competing ideas earlier today. I felt at peace when I read 2 Samuel 10. As one of the Psalms says, I was for peace, they were for war. In 2 Samuel 10, David gives peace, but his enemies are suspicious of him and attack Israel. King David defends himself and his people. I think the only time when you need to be submissive to your enemies and let them put you to death for our faith is when God ordains it and puts your enemies in power like the Babylonian or Roman captivity. Thankfully, Israel is a sovereign nation today and can defend itself. So in civil matters, and even at times in political matters, we are called to love our enemies. We show love because God first loved us.
I struggle with the whole Love Thy Enemy because everyday seems to expose more wickedness and it literally hurts my soul. But to hate someone only poisons you and gives others power over your emotions. It will eat you up inside out like a fast metastatic cancer. To love your enemies is more about you than for their benefit, imo. If we learn to forgive (not necessarily forget) we loosen their power over us. As the Lord said~it’s like heaping hot coals on their head, and it’s true; when someone doesn’t like you and you’re nice anyway, it’s now a them problem and they’re exposed. It’s kind of difficult to fill a heart with love and compassion if it’s full of hate and envy, jealousy, bitterness, etc. The people of Gaza, Judea and Samaria are living proof of what choosing to embrace hate. Our church has been supporting ministries in Israel for years one of them being chosen people ministries… I’ve always been for Israel… But I came away with a passion to see Jews and Arab could saved… Since then I have had SOLU at church and this year on October 7. My personal belief is that this relates to free will. God gave us free will to choose whether to follow Him, to sin or not to sin. But the flip side of free will is that we have to live with not only the consequences of our choices, but also with the consequences of other people's choices. God is not to blame for the evil that men do.

The only peace Jerusalem will have is when Messiah Yeshua returns to establish His kingdom after the great tribulation & the 70th week of Daniel.

I am a Christian, because of God's promise to Abraham to bring the Messiah from his seed. God both defends His children & gives them courage & a righteous indignation to defend themselves when attacked. God does not typically suspend consequences or natural law for any one, although there are notible exceptions; Enoch, Elijah , Noah, Moses, Abraham,Jesus. God gives free will to all his creation, from the angelic host to men. Their decisions to commit evil do not mean the consequences of those acts are God's responsibility. He will bring judgement to all evil in His own divine time, unwilling to cut off any from the opportunity to repent and follow Him. Yeshua is the redeemer of all the earth. There are good & evil in every place. Stand for good and follow Yeshua in his example of forgiving his enemies and praying for them. To be able to be separated from evil only by being full of the Holy Spirit. I struggled with these competing ideas earlier today. I felt at peace when I read 2 Samuel 10. As one of the Psalms says, I was for peace, they were for war. In 2 Samuel 10, David gives peace, but his enemies are suspicious of him and attack Israel. King David defends himself and his people.
I think the only time when you need to be submissive to your enemies and let them put you to death for our faith is when God ordains it and puts your enemies in power like the Babylonian or Roman captivity. Thankfully, Israel is a sovereign nation today and can defend itself. So in civil matters, and even at times in political matters, we are called to love our enemies. We show love because God first loved us.

I struggle with the whole Love Thy Enemy because everyday seems to expose more wickedness and it literally hurts my soul. But to hate someone only poisons you and gives others power over your emotions. It will eat you up inside out like a fast metastatic cancer. To love your enemies is more about you than for their benefit, imo.
If we learn to forgive (not necessarily forget) we loosen their power over us. As the Lord said~it’s like heaping hot coals on their head, and it’s true; when someone doesn’t like you and you’re nice anyway, it’s now a them problem and they’re exposed.
It’s kind of difficult to fill a heart with love and compassion if it’s full of hate and envy, jealousy, bitterness, etc. The people of Gaza, Judea and Samaria are living proof of what choosing to embrace hate.
And I don’t want any part of that so I keep working at it and praying for help! God Bless and love the channel and shows!

I am a gentile Christian living in Virginia in the United States… I was in Israel, March 2019 with my church. We go about every three years. Our church has been supporting ministries in Israel for years one of them being chosen people ministries… I’ve always been for Israel… But I came away with a passion to see Jews and Arab could saved… Since then I have had SOLU at church and this year on October 7. Joshua Erin was at my church… Very very hard day for him.!! we gather around him, prayed for him, and ministered to him, fed him, loved on him, and he let us into the presence of Yeshua in the Holy Spirit… I pray every day for the peace of Jerusalem I pray for the peace that we would all love to see between Jews and Arabs… Pray the hostages would be freed I renew that commitment in 2024

My personal belief is that this relates to free will. God gave us free will to choose whether to follow Him, to sin or not to sin. But the flip side of free will is that we have to live with not only the consequences of our choices, but also with the consequences of other people's choices. God is not to blame for the evil that men do.

I pray passionately for Israel: almost constantly and for revelation of Yeshua to sons/daughters of Isaac and by His grace also that His Love will capture the offspring of Ishmael.
Nothing is ever impossible for Him.

However, keep in mind that the period of Jacob’s Trouble is fast approaching, which will be the worst time in human history. There is no comfort without repentance.
