Mr. Gentry, The post mill view contradicts scripture on so many fronts, that it burdens my soul to see respected Pastors and Defenders of the faith, so easily turn to it as truth. I will lay out the clear contradictions, that the reader may understand. 1. The Post Mill view has no rapture of the church. 1Thess 4:13-18 should be enough evidence to shut down the post mill view. How are we to be "caught up" (harpadzo) and meet the Lord in the air? If the post mill view is true, then this passage offers no hope to the believer. One of your own stated that we were walking around with our head in the proverbial clouds, but now we can relax and get to work, because we are here to build the kingdom for the messiah, at his second coming, which is after the millenium. No rapture? Jesus promised he would return to take us with him. Matt 24: 29-31 is another clear portion of scripture that portrays the Messiah's retutrn, with his angels reaping the harvest. I have strongly refuted many in the Pre-trib rapture camp over the years. I am absolutely convinced of a mid-tribulation harpadzo. Yet I remain committed to preaching the gospel, trusting the Lord to save as he wills. 2. The post mill view has the Messiah returning after the millenium. What happened to the millenial reign of Christ? Rev. 20:4 states an obvious fact...the messiah will be here for 1,000 years. The Messiah will come at the mid trib point, take us up for 3.5 years, then we will return with him and reign for 1,000 years. You teach that the messiah will not return until after the period of time that you call the millenium. The post mill view has to change, delete and/or restructure the scriptures to make the post mill view work. The eschatological view from scripture is clear, whether pre or mid trib, Christ returns and harpadzo = "catches us away". I summarily reject the post trib view. Daniel 9: 24-27 points to a mid trib event known as "the abomination of desolation". Jesus uses this text to encourage the saints that he will return. Just as he left in the clouds (Acts 1:11) so he shall return! I believe that the post mill view is a dangerous doctrine that robs the saints of the hope for which the promises were given. Please recant and confess this doctrine as the error that it truly is. May God's word be taught in truth, and may we never be divided over such a foundational doctrine. In Jesus love...
Those whom God loves, He chastens. His firstborn was crucified and He said, if you are of the light, darkness will hate you. The noahide "laws" have been implemented to BEHEAD children of the light so that the darkness can rule for "one hour" (Rev 17/18)
This guy spirutulized everything he talked about, he is wrong, the church did not replace Israel no Scripture to back it up not one. There hasn't been a glorious new age of the kingdom of God yet, but it is coming just like Revelation 20 says it is a 1000 year reign of Christ from the throne of David in Jerusalem. This guy butchered the book of Revelation, but he did it deceitfully making it look like his teaching is Biblical. God promised Israel a future kingdom here on earth where Christ will reign with the rod of iron. Rev 2:27.
Jesus Himself said the Kingdom of God was at hand and upon us. Also, no verse for replacement theology? Acts 28:25-28, even better is matthew 21:43: "Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits." Modern Israel is a synogogue of Satan.
No, it’s not “replacement theology”... It’s that Jesus Christ King of Kings has conquered death and is sitting on the right hand of the Father and all who believe in Him are one in Christ, regardless of whether you’re a Jew, a Muslim, Hindu, pink black purple yellow.. Amen and God bless you ❤️🙏🏽
Matthew 8:10-12 “When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith. I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.””
The biblical stance he's arguing for in these 3 messages is that God divorced His past "wife" [Israel] for her harlotry and "stoned" her to death as required, according to His law [temple destruction in AD 70]. His new covenant is with His new "wife" [the church, both Jews and Gentiles]. It's a new marriage. As a result of the death of His old wife, He is free to marry another.
The True Jews believed on his name. They began the new covenant. Later on they realized that this new covenant was expanded to include the gentiles. As time went on, the gentiles began to outnumber the original believers who were ethnic Jews. We don't have "replacement", we have Inclusion Theology. The unbelieving Jews were set aside because they were not the true Israel, the believing Jews were and God fulfilled his promises to them through Christ. Gentiles were included into that true Israel along with the Believing ethic Jews.
Unfortunately, most professing Christians have failed to understand and live out what they have in Christ - His power and authority, which He has made available to us. We lack an understanding of how Scripture, specifically The Book of Revelation has been written, giving us a distorted view of God's plan for the redemption of the world.
The rapture wasn't taught before the 19th century. That should be enough to discard it.
Those whom God loves, He chastens. His firstborn was crucified and He said, if you are of the light, darkness will hate you. The noahide "laws" have been implemented to BEHEAD children of the light so that the darkness can rule for "one hour" (Rev 17/18)
The church is the many membered BODY of Christ, NOT the Bride...
the "church" is satanic and so are all re-legions.
Inconsistent. The bible only speaks of 2 "heaven and earth." A third has to be implied by man.
Preterism and all of the "isms" deny reality. We are still in the realm of time, that should be enough to silence these liars.
Ok I can’t get over that. He keeps saying that the Christians take the place of Israel. What!? That makes no sense. Thats replacement theology.
No, it’s not “replacement theology”...
It’s that Jesus Christ King of Kings has conquered death and is sitting on the right hand of the Father and all who believe in Him are one in Christ, regardless of whether you’re a Jew, a Muslim, Hindu, pink black purple yellow..
Amen and God bless you ❤️🙏🏽
Matthew 8:10-12
“When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith.
