It's going to be cool to see how much basketball continues to grow outside of the united state in the next 20 years. it's big in Spain and Turkey, but there's not as much interest in the leagues in France and Germany and some other large countries, but with the amount of people playing, it's only going to get bigger. Soccer proves that there is room for many large leagues with a lot of talent, the relatively small size of NBA rosters will only help that because it forces a lot of players to look elsewhere like in China and Europe. It's a good time for non-american centric sports leagues outside of soccer and handball.

i would doubt efes being the most popular team in turkey. I remember only +- 5 years ago they were +- the least visited team in euroleague. They used to have like 1000 spectators only, while other turkish team had 10,000 etc. It seems that efes only has gloryhunter fans that joined the bandwagon only because they started winning.
Efes is the number one club when it comes the basketball no doubt. However, you are right since it is a big company club has no real supporters as Gala or Fenerbahçe. Real basketball fans always appraciate Efes though.
