I’m pretty sure he’s trying to push people out of their shells this season to play more offensively so that the game is a little extra enjoyable, but it’s best to let things go how they want to.
I take this guys advice with a grain of salt, im a Valkyrie main, and this season has been all about movement, and even with evac towers, her ability to see enemies while flying and her ability to dictate fights by starting them and leaving, is so top tier.
All of their opinions are subjective and if you’re killing it and having fun as Valk, then at the end of the day it’s a video game and that’s all that matters
Caustic main here, I'm getting more kills than ever. He is the ultimate marmite hero, trash in some scenarios and god tier in others. If you get to the final ring and you're a Caustic it's an ez gg win.
Meh. A good lifeline is able to defend their teammates while they’re being rezzed. I understand this isn’t the majority, but I’d say about 85-90% of the time I can get my teammates up in the open while I’m defending them. Newcastle might have a better shield during rez, but the viability of being able to shoot and move around while doc is reviving is extremely useful in the hands of a good lifeline. Not only that, you can use doc to eat bullets if you throw him up while your teammate is getting revived and you place it correctly. Being able to game doc heals up behind cover while you’re getting shot at is second to none as well. Combine Watson ult with lifeline doc and its chefs kiss.

The thing with Valkyrie is that she counts as 2 Evac towers if you pick one up. So you can get two redeploys. Or you can hold a heat Sheild and still have a redeploy. Also Caustic is very good with the rat style season.

There are so many more reasons to play valk than just her ultimate. Honestly most matches you don’t use her ultimate often. It’s the stun from her rockets and the efficiency of her pushes and escapes. Real valk mains do not play her for her ult. She’s a very solid all around player. Easy to use with very simple and useful abilities, all without being too OP. Honestly the best legend in the game in terms of straight up tactical usefulness.

I had a buddy playing Valk and honestly their really good for getting info on where all the squads are towards end games especially with the help of the evac towers.
Disagreeing about Valk, what about even more Scans and Informations because of the Towers? The jetpack still S Tier in many Situations. How does an extra item makes legends useless, if the legend itself uses it?
A legend can lose value that way because you can have a similar ability that gets the job done(evac towers) and have a character with different abilities with value.

Lifeline, Ballistic, and Pathfinder have been my teams go to. Easy rotates and hard pushes. Lifeline's rez is god tier if someone gets knocked while ballistic has his ult still up, and grabbing banners is always great as well. Sometimes we swap Lifeline for Maggie, and it's chaotic af.
Lifeline is incredibly annoying to play against when they know what they're doing. Honestly, that makes her god tier. Though the most annoying character to play against is probably a mirage who knows how to play the character correctly. I honestly think mirage is one of the S tier legends that I never play, the ult sounds stupid but it's actually stupidly effective
Lifeline sucks and will always suck. Every single one of her abilities is out classed by another legend ability. I have 10k kills on her and still think she’s useless

Caustic is underrated if you use him as a passive aggressive character he’s probably the best I played him for a month and I use his barrels as a way to not be seen by enemies even though he’s not as good as bangs smoke you can pop his barrels when u need to rez or get to another position he’s very slept on and is very op (I’m a wraith main😂😂😂)
Personally I think Valkyrie is still viable if you’re in a squad, Especially if someone is running a support. The amount of times if had the instantly hit my ult after landing from the redeploy trying to craft banners is insane.
Last time i died to a caustic when my randoms ran into his traps through Watsons fences in round 3 zone and left me to 1 v 3 with 150 ping and no shields Fuck yeah that's how you play apex
Ive said before. Lifeline needs the same shield newcastle has. Shield based off of knockdown shields. If its blue its easier to break when they are being picked up
@@BlGO559 you still get a double distance launch from a tower, a GUARANTEE rotation. You still have to find the evac towers. Plus her scan to find people is still very very useful and viable. My trio runs either valk, loba, seer, or valk, loba, catalyst, and we just hit gold 1 last night (we don’t play much ranked our third can only play about an hour a day because he works nights to our mornings, so we can never be on together for an extended period of time)

Slightly worse (you would still have to sit there and use the gun as if your shooting someone so you might as well just heal them), but it’s not rechargeable, a guaranteed. You still would have to find the gun and you still have to find the evac. It’s not a guarantee. Valk ult is a guaranteed every 4? Minutes. (I don’t know the time for sure I’m just saying)

As a valk main yea the evac towers are pretty good, valks ultimate goes way higher and further and are better for escapes mostly because you don’t have to worry about someone shooting you off the zip
Still playing for 2 reasons… on the off chance you don’t have an evac and bc you can get beamed so easy out of evac towers I think a valk ult is still very good alternative. Just because they added evac does not mean her character got worse.
valk ult still travels further than jump towers and evac towers, so she’s still got some benefit. not to mention how many more scans you’ll get because of evac towers being so common

Some quick tips for ballistic For sling weapons, pick either the Prowler or Mastiff since you'll usually be pushing if you havw your ult up Ultimate accelerants are very useful for him so I recommend carrying 1-2 at all time
Valk's ult isn't the only thing that's makes her valuable, her tactical it's pretty good even if it isn't one of the best in the game, and her passive is both awesome and really powerful. Like if you get a good use of the jetpack you can outplay/outsmart a lot of you enemies
Pretty spot on except Valkyrie, I mean he mentions lifeline as being slept on but you can literally get everything from her ult on the ground. Valkyrie still allows for moving the whole team, you don’t have to worry about the random loot generator giving you a balloon plus her ult can be started without the delay of balloon deployment. Still very useful.
The combat capabilities of valk's passive are insane. Her tactical can give her an edge on any fight scenario and the scan has gotten me more free kills on solo players than I can remember. Keep avoiding her so I can use my main every game.
I genuinely think the best advice anyone playing a game can hear is, "Dont get worked up on who's meta and who's not. Find someone your playstyle fits, you'll learn them inside and out. You'll be better with a character you know well than someone who chases meta. And besides, the meta will swing around to you eventually." Valk is absolutley still good to use. You can have her ult plus the towers and be able to go wherever you want whenever quickly. Also shes still a good fight8ng legened in general. She gives scans when flying, and also has amazing mobility if your good at her. Not to mention her rockets are extra dmaage and a short stun, they are also good for blowing off doors. Not to mention shes just the most fun besides horizon path and octane
The range of movement on Valkyries tactical is arguably better than every other legend. She’s objectively the best movement legend imo with or without her ult.
People don’t understand that the evac towers buffer Valk, her passive scans people while she flies, you just have more than one way to reset she’s solid at still
There are many points on maps where Evac towers can’t rotate over big cliffs because they don’t go high enough, plus they can be shot easily. To say Valkyrie is not useful because of evac towers is like saying don’t use lifelines drone because you can just use medkits
Im really becoming a Lifeline Main at the moment and can say shes probably the most balanced ive ever seen her this season. Bangalore is also just a good allround pick regardless tbh
I thought the evac towers would make Valk less useful until I realized you can have access to two redeploys in a row. Also, the ult being the only reason to play them is SUPER debatable.
Yo, the Valkrie thing has a point, but I am pretty sure the EVAC has a smaller length than the Jumptowers and Valkries Ult. I am pretty sure you can cover more distance with Valks Ult and the Jumptower, so it would really be a toss-up one whether you want more distance than the EVAC can give you.
Valk still very viable, being able to scan while flying off a balloon evac or her ult is still super useful and unique to only her character; and with the current movement meta in ranked, she fits that
Caustic is viable in almost every playstyle, people need to know that his gas is not meant to kill but to control and lock areas down, use his gas to stun and catch your enemies off guard, as valkyrie, she'll always be useful no matter what, getting the info about where you're landing is really useful plus her passive ability is one of the best in the game if not the best.
I've been going off this season playing with caustic 😂 and valk is still useful for scans. Also is a decent counter to runners or people getting cover to heal
Ring position is totally important this season and it doesn’t hurt to know where other teams are positioned when you have Valkyrie’s “spotter” ability tagging teams and/or rats as well. So imma have to disagree with the Valk slander on this one
Valks only use isn't the ultimate. There's obviously the movement of the jetpack, missiles to pinch, slow down, or force a team out of cover, scan on flight. She's still a boss
As a pseudo Valk main, having her Ult AND the evac tower makes her rotation capabilities unmatched. You can literally fly across half the map ESPECIALLY if you have high ground to start with.
Giiby: orbital strike is always a+, valk: hover+rockets= bombardment, caustic: every trap and patch of ground is a toxic mine which you can set off no matter what
I see caustics everywhere because of the SMG meta, the close range combat is the exact scenario he thrives in. Valk at this point you take for her personal movements but yeah, evac hit her hard. Gibby has been steadily phased out ever since newcastles buff happened since NC is both mobile and very strong defense. I agree about the three shoulds though, especially ballistic being a very big 'support' style legend. Not with heals or revives but with the group buff he gives that is more powerful than people realize.
Valks movement is still the best in the game. I can get in and out of fight simply by flying on top of whatever building lol. She’s super op in those clutch moments
Valk is so much more than her alt she is able to get amazing positioning and get out of situations with her jetpack, and even still her ult goes way higher than an evac
I always recommend Wattson, even in maps like Storm Point and Broken Moon. Nothing is worse than dying to a Horizon, Gibby, Fuse, Caustic ult. Or loads of grenades

Evac towers have a lower flight escape, shorter distance also. She's still a great legend. Specially solo.

bro valk also has a tactical and a passive that are really good also you can shoot down an evac or just follow the enemy using it.
As a valk main, I love evac towers cause I can use it for recon, and less people pick her when they think her ult is useless

Valk is absolutley still good to use. You can have her ult plus the towers and be able to go wherever you want whenever quickly. Also shes still a good fight8ng legened in general. She gives scans when flying, and also has amazing mobility if your good at her. Not to mention her rockets are extra dmaage and a short stun, they are also good for blowing off doors. Not to mention shes just the most fun besides horizon path and octane
The range of movement on Valkyries tactical is arguably better than every other legend. She’s objectively the best movement legend imo with or without her ult.

There are many points on maps where Evac towers can’t rotate over big cliffs because they don’t go high enough, plus they can be shot easily. To say Valkyrie is not useful because of evac towers is like saying don’t use lifelines drone because you can just use medkits
Went back to being a lifeline main this season. Missed playing her honestly.
I’m a path main, but valk is very much still solid. Nothing beats free reposition during fights.

Im really becoming a Lifeline Main at the moment and can say shes probably the most balanced ive ever seen her this season.

I thought the evac towers would make Valk less useful until I realized you can have access to two redeploys in a row. Also, the ult being the only reason to play them is SUPER debatable.
Yo, the Valkrie thing has a point, but I am pretty sure the EVAC has a smaller length than the Jumptowers and Valkries Ult. I am pretty sure you can cover more distance with Valks Ult and the Jumptower, so it would really be a toss-up one whether you want more distance than the EVAC can give you.
The Evac has less height, but will get high velocity resulting in flying further than regular jump towers and just as far as a valk ult
If you're only playing Valk for her ult, You don't know what you're doing. Her jetpacks are super useful in fights.
Valk still very viable, being able to scan while flying off a balloon evac or her ult is still super useful and unique to only her character; and with the current movement meta in ranked, she fits that
I had some of my best games with Caustic players. May not be the ultimate kill machine, but they can claim space so aggressively
Call has identifying marks when in air it’s useful in rotations
Caustic is viable in almost every playstyle, people need to know that his gas is not meant to kill but to control and lock areas down, use his gas to stun and catch your enemies off guard, as valkyrie, she'll always be useful no matter what, getting the info about where you're landing is really useful plus her passive ability is one of the best in the game if not the best.
Lifeline is so insane. A great one is incredibly hard to kill. Absurdly underrated.

I've been going off this season playing with caustic 😂 and valk is still useful for scans. Also is a decent counter to runners or people getting cover to heal
Ring position is totally important this season and it doesn’t hurt to know where other teams are positioned when you have Valkyrie’s “spotter” ability tagging teams and/or rats as well. So imma have to disagree with the Valk slander on this one
Valks only use isn't the ultimate. There's obviously the movement of the jetpack, missiles to pinch, slow down, or force a team out of cover, scan on flight. She's still a boss

As a pseudo Valk main, having her Ult AND the evac tower makes her rotation capabilities unmatched. You can literally fly across half the map ESPECIALLY if you have high ground to start with.
Giiby: orbital strike is always a+, valk: hover+rockets= bombardment, caustic: every trap and patch of ground is a toxic mine which you can set off no matter what
I see caustics everywhere because of the SMG meta, the close range combat is the exact scenario he thrives in. Valk at this point you take for her personal movements but yeah, evac hit her hard. Gibby has been steadily phased out ever since newcastles buff happened since NC is both mobile and very strong defense. I agree about the three shoulds though, especially ballistic being a very big 'support' style legend. Not with heals or revives but with the group buff he gives that is more powerful than people realize.
as a caustic main, i take this personally. If yall see a string of finishers in the kill feed, just know he pissed me off.

I played caustic for the first time this season and I dropped a 3k game with him, he is pretty useful on ranked endgames for sure
Valks movement is still the best in the game. I can get in and out of fight simply by flying on top of whatever building lol. She’s super op in those clutch moments
valk's jet pack will always be one of the best abilities in the game. verticality is key

Btw valks ult is only a foot higher than the evac. It stops at the balloon itself.
Ballistic's ult can squad wipe if you got good aim, an Re-45 or a Havoc.

Valk is cracked with the evac tower because its free scans. Also Valks Rockets are great initiators. On top of all that the jet pack is great movement

Valk is so much more than her alt she is able to get amazing positioning and get out of situations with her jetpack, and even still her ult goes way higher than an evac
I always recommend Wattson, even in maps like Storm Point and Broken Moon. Nothing is worse than dying to a Horizon, Gibby, Fuse, Caustic ult. Or loads of grenades
