Thank you for this video! I made this for years when my kids were growing up. Couldn’t find the directions anywhere, then I found yours! There are so many recipes on the net for breakfast casseroles but this is exactly what we had every Christmas morning. We loved it then and now I’m getting requests for the recipe. Thanks so much! God bless you!

I ran out of bread, had frozen pancakes. Let sit 30 minutes...delicious. Every recipe wanted you to wait overnight. My grandkids not willing to wait lol. Thank you!!!

Thanks for this. My mom made it all the time growing up and none of the other recipes online were quite the same. This is an identical dish to the one my mom made.

If you halve the recipe and add an additional egg, it works in an 8x8 pan. Perfect for a single person.

I am a single household too, how long do you bake 8x8? I am disabled and can't stand too long,I don't continually check for doneness, I like to set timer and go, thanks

Scrolling through sausage recipes on 3/24/23 and laughed when he finished up the video by noting it was "cheap". Eggs are currently ~$5/doz. Still gonna make it tonight, though. I like to add sauted onion, fresh bell pepper and mushrooms to zing it up a little.

I need recipes which provide the pre-cooked volume. A typical 9x13 dish (i.e., 2.5 quarts) will usually provide enough space for most casserole recipes but will a recipe fill it 1/2 of the way? 2/3? 3/4? all the way? I need recipes with a beginning volume (i.e., capacity) of 6 cups, to fit in my 6-cup dish which fits into my counter top oven, In that you prepared the recipes, it is a shame that, at that time, you did not measure the pre-cooked volume in your pan. That would have been so helpful in that I would know how I needed to adjust the various recipes in order to get the 6 cups I need. Unfortunately you did not do that and, consequently, I cannot take the time to consider your recipe.
