Interesting. My first real cube was the RS3M 2020 and I just got my second cube today, a WRM V10. I like both cubes but the V10 does feel like an upgrade. I’m not an experienced cuber by any stretch of the imagination but important qualities for me is that I can control it with confidence and that I enjoy the feel, and I really like the feel of turning that V10. It has a nice tactile feel while still feeling very smooth. These are just first impressions but I’m really happy about it. Love your videos.
First cube that normal market one when I just came new to cubing . 2nd rs3m 2020. 3rd rs3m 2021. 4th rs3m v5 maglev ball core. 5th gan rs 356 . 6th gan 356 me. 7th moyu weilong wrm v9 ballcore . 8th x man tornado v3, and lastly gan 15 maglev 🎉 Let's see whether I will buy this too or not
Having tried both and taking price into account I like the V10 more. Since the spring version is honestly the version that I think most people will buy since the maglev is honestly too fast, the price stops being as much of an issue. 30 dollars isn't bad for a cube that good. Don't get me wrong though, the RS3M 2020 is surprisingly good for it's age and when set up properly, still holds up fairly well today.
You got to think about the price to performance and how the Rs3m 2020 is a good but standard cube and the Wrm v10 is more expensive, but has a 20 magnet ball core and UV and new tension system so it's worth the lrice
This is such a great new format! (Though I'd say you should judge the price differently for the V10, it's in a different class and is very well-priced for being a flagship. Ignore me though I'm a pedant)
@@JohnAJ-07 so what do u think should I buy it but I heard that it's not durable it's ball core will broke and magnets pop out. As you are already sub 10 and using tornado so can u tell is it best or what lubes should I need to setup it 😅
@Deepamdhauni52 I got the new batch for the tornado v3 flagship which is much more stronger . The core is redesigned to not strip at all The plastic on the pierces is very durable , scratches are very minimal . For lubes I'm using Weight 5 and Dnm37 . It has a crunchy feeling that I enjoy .
@@JohnAJ-07 ok so can I order it and plz tell the core will not broke plzz tell me and the magnets are also very durable plz tell and you are using weight 5 what is the name of the lube weight 5 only and dnm 37 only two lubes are you using for tornado v3 flagship plz tell 😅
@Deepamdhauni52 chill bro , mine hasn't had anything broken 😅 . Go ahead and order For the lubes you can use any Combination you like but don't use only fast lubes as the tornado is already fast
I honestly think the rs3m is much better, although the wrm 10 is quite cheap, the rs3m is very, very cheap and good for beginners, wrm needs quite a lot of adjustments, but the rs3m nust a beat of screw and dual adjustment and a bit of lube, it has a world class pwrformance (my opinion)
i actually think that the rs3m 2020 isnt quite on par with the v10 on performance, but its kinda close. you said it catches a lot because of bad corner cutting, but that might be your tensions, with the ones i have mine on it forward cuts around 55°, and reverse cuts pretty much line to line so i think id prefer the 2020 if were talking about price-performance ratio
im ngl i don't like the blockiness of the v10, and that kills the cube for me. i just also hate that it looks and kinda feels like a budget cube to me. thats why i still main a 20-magnet v9. it is waaay too fast ootb and even now with a gallon of weight 5 in it, but it just feels too nice. i can't comment that much on the rs3, but i did main it early on over a gan 11, so theres that. take my opinion with a grain of salt though, im not that good.
@@scuffedpotato5858 i just dont like the squared-off corners. i know theyre there to prevent corner twisting, but ive never corner twisted on the v9. and yes the rs3 is blocky, but thats okay because its budget.
Seriously, I just bought the Rs3m 2020 a couple hours ago and you upload this. What a truly coincidence. I'm new to cubing and my first cube is the Rs3m V5 the cheapest one. I don't like that the cube feels hollow and too lightweight, so I bought the 2020 version because I hear many people said that the corner cutting is really good, contrast to what to what you said in the video. Maybe you just had bad settings.
i think the rs3m is better actually, the wrm v10 seems to be fragile(as someone said in the 3x3 solvers discord server), and the loosest setting of the v10 is still quite tight as you said, the rs3m is like a blank canvas, so i do believe it has more potential than what it seems
I don't know exactly which cube to buy. I watched your videos, but my English is not very good. Which one do you think is better? tornado v3m pioner uv or moyu rs3m v5 ball core uv
Big brother i am looking for a best speedcube as i am already sub 20 but i have chosed x man tornado ( flagship) but not ordered it yet but i have heard that its ball core broke after some time and magnets also pop out 😅 if it is true so can u recomend me a long lasting cube for me as i am of sub 20 😢
I feel like your performance categories are kind of biased. The words “I feel” are used too much and every cube nowadays has good performance. Low corner cutting complaint? Turn more accurately. Too slow? Change tensions. Plus, the weilong v10 objectively feels smoother. Everyone who has it has said this.
@@scuffedpotato5858 its not bad but there are better cubes in the price range, i know some people that are new, have heard of gan and want a magnetic cube with a gan logo, so they go for the cheapest option. But its definetely not bad
UK cuber, honestly in your 3x3 vs 3x3 videos you probably shouldn't include the price as its meant to be about the performance of the cube and not if the buyer can afford it or not
All of these videos are the same, they always get tied scores until the last round where one wins. But it's a detailed review for both cubes so I watch it anyway. Also I think the wrm v10 not having a screw is actually a downside, as it doesn't have many axis distance options, as well as the plastic core being much more fragile than a traditional core with screws. Also I think having nearly nothing in the box and not having any empty space is an upside, it makes the packaging smaller so you pay less for the box and less for shipping. (Edit: Jperm doesn't main the rs3m 2020 anymore, though he did for a long time. In his last mains video he said he mains the wrm 2021 maglev.)
Thanks for the feedback. To make the video entertaining they have to be somewhat close throughout otherwise it would be incredibly boring but I understand why you would bring this up. And thanks for letting me know about the Jperm Cube!
No offense, but why are gonna compare the rs3m 2020 that is know it great performance and adjustment. But you’re comparing it with the brand new Weilong v10 with core magnets and new adjustments. Ok we all knew that the v10 is gonna easily win. Plus isn’t that just common sense?
Not really tbh. Most Gan cubes are like 60-80 dollars (unless you want a 356 or something, in which I would still recommend the V10. I like the 356, but the V10 is just simply better)
Which one do you think is better? Leave a comment to let me know!
Edit: Tingman now endorses the WRM V10 (just 1 day after this video dropped!)
Really depends on budget and preferences
