I saw him live in a tour with Steve Vai in Granada(Spain) and I flip out. After the show he went down to the bar and drink some beers with us, we all excited asked him about his technique and the tuning he uses, he was very humble, very nice guy and awsome guitar player.
Saw him numerous times at a little Blues club in L.A., Cozy's, and he never failed to delight and excite. Awesome slide player on both the slow and kick ass songs, and a great showman as well. (He used to take a Bud longneck from customers and use it as his slide, showering people with the beer when he was done. And twice while sitting in the front row I had to pick his brass slide up off the floor and hand it back to him as he was playing so frenetically it flew off his finger!). And a super nice guy and very easy to talk to, too.
I remember him !!! That was in 1999 or 2000 in Warsaw, Poland. I came there to see Steve Vai. Eric was pretty good, he made an impression on me . He's a great showman and very good guitar player. And of course, very big experience for me was to see Steve Vai live !!!
Saw Eric many, many times at the Blues Cafe in Long Beach, Ca. Eric got us all movin!! He even played at a small venue in Huntington Beach, God that was 1998 and 1999. His base player then played upright base.....was lucky and got in on a few pictures with him. Good looking man, excellent guitarist. He even signed my acoustic guitar and he said that he learned playing on a similar guitar......
I agree...it’s just unmusical noise...when he’s not playing “wild” slide, he’s just doing really basic stuff. I don’t get what the big deal is with this guy.
@@jasonw4053 prove it!!! You won’t will you 😀 all good though, need to start playing my guitar again, I’m heavy into both a acoustic and electric blues...
what the f*** is he doing at 6:38?!?!? I'm trying, and trying, but failed bad so far...well, at least I've got something to do for a few monthts now...
First i admit this is great performance. But...ah..is s this blues anyway? It sounded like J. winterr or something, and it's no problem about that. Is that acrobatic thing...OK, T-Bone did that, Jimi did that, Stiovie I don't know that. OK, you do a right thing!
I miss you Eric. Lavell Price RIP. Big Motor could never be the same. Eric please tour America again. Thanks for all the great shows Eric.

Drummer was good though
i don't find him that good on slide
Let’s see a vid of your slide technique
what the f*** is he doing at 6:38?!?!?

Hybrid Picking. Pick on the thumb for the bass strings, and 3 lower fingers on the middle and higher strings, like a banjo roll
Not playing in tune, that’s for sure.
First i admit this is great performance.

kentaros67 man all music has been done before every note has been played , its all about the heart man and he seems to have the heart .
It’s their style of rockin blues
