Alexis Smith was born in my hometown, Penticton, BC, Canada. I saw her onstage in "The Best Little Whorehouse" in LA. So glamorous.
Errol Flynn died nearby in downtown Vancouver, BC. Small world.
In one of my favorite films.
“The Turning Point” (1952) in which she starred alongside Edmond O’Brien and William Holden.
She was simply sensational in "Jacqueline Susann's Once is Not Enough." Just the right level of haughtiness and vulnerability. And if the people on this show were startled by her work in "Follies".... Well, this next movie was also an eye-opener! 🤣 "Gentleman Jim" was a terrific movie, too. And a later one of hers, "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane" offered up two fantastic scenes in which she killed it. Love Alexis Smith.
She was married to Craig Stevens…Peter Gunn…both gone now…God rest them.
You have the title as "54" instead of "74".
Typo and corrected. Thanks.
1974?
Yes, 1974. That was a typo.
