Thank you Justin. There is a lot of people who hate Mormons, and so much mis information. I like that you kept it light, and had such a positive attitude. It means a lot. I am personally liberal, but Utah is where I was raised, and I love it there. Thanks for being a good person.
Shantel Beth if they get that stupid sister wives show off the damn tv, people less intelligent than you, me and Mr. Justin Scarred wouldn’t have so many misconceptions about The Mormon Faith.
Just came across your UT videos and I want to say thank you! Thank you for your research and presenting it in a non-bias manner. UT is my home state. I love the rich history and even though you think it's "desolate" I sure miss the mountains and beauty of UT! If you want desolate, you should come to Eastern NC. :)
Greetings! Congratulations on your voice over...you're now part of the great voices providing happiness and joy. Safe travels and looking forward to seeing more adventures...regards to Ms.A and your son, the kitties and Julio too!
Another informative adventure. These videos are so fun, and I always learn something I never knew. Had no idea Mark Twain met with Brigham Young! I stumbled upon Justin's channel while coping with Disneyland withdrawals and now I'm hooked. So look forward to his STV and where he's taking us next. Rather it's across the country or across the shopping aisle. Justin has such an inviting personality & excellent sense of humor. He deserves his own show on the Travel Channel! Anyways, thanks for the new video & safe travels.
Oh man! You went through the grossness walking up to the Great Salt Lake at Saltair, and you didn't have the awesome, magical experience of floating in it! The little flies don't follow you out there, you're floating with sea monkeys (which is awesome), it's not as smelly, it's peaceful and beautiful. It was definitely one of my favorite travel memories!! They even have spray showers to wash the salt off. Once you're floating in the water, it's wonderful!
Awesome! You are in my neck of the woods. You should have had lunch at the Lion House... one of our classic favorites when we are downtown. My boys are excited you are here in Utah, they love your videos. Need any cool local recommendations let me know!
Love this! I want to thank you and congratulate you for making an effort to tell history fairly - I've seen many vlogs by people passing through Utah and they rarely go beyond speculation and misinformation :)
It is so awesome how you view all religions as equals! I am so used to seeing videos of bashing on mormonism so it was so cool to finaly see someone be kind!
When I was a kid my Dad drove us from San Francisco to Akron, Ohio (Circa 1984) and we drove through Salt Lake at night (or around the Salt Lake) and the roads were flooded. I didn't see much of Utah but going through that area I can remember that smell and those flies. Thousands of flies hit my Dad's windshield (he had a custom van) and when we got out to clean it the smell was even worse. I totally forgot about this. Thanks for more memories!
I live in Utah! In fact, I drive past the great salt lake twice everyday to work, and then back home. We all agree that it stinks..literally. Great video! I'm sure that no matter what religion, everyone appreciates your respect!
I've actually listened to the audiobook for roughing it.... TWICE!!! I recall the story about one wife getting something and this upsetting the other wives as they felt less special, this went on for a spell.... Thanks Justin for sharing this. It helps put a visualization to yet ANOTHER great Twain tale!
I just love all Justins vlogs but these travel vlogs are great. I'm in England and I have learnt so much about America & its history from watching Justin over the years. X
i love the musical Book of Mormon, so this video was very fascinating to me. Ever since I started watching you I've been very interested in history, which made school so much more enjoyable for me. I've been watching for four, almost five, years and I cannot thank you enough.
Very interesting, Justin, thanks for taking us along! Loved the look at the Great Salt Lake and seeing some of that Mormon history that I hadn't ever seen before. I knew the basics, but never saw any of that stuff. Cool.
Southern California has a very interesting site related to the Mormons, and that is the Mormon Battalion Historic Site in San Diego. In Las Vegas there is the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park. Both of these location are super interesting and packed with interesting history of the "Oooooolllllldddddd West"!
Justin, theres a company in Salt Lake City that built most of the buildings in downtown Los Angeles. Buener Concrete has the second largest tower in Salt Lake City. I worked for them in LA, and in Vegas. I hope you have a chance to go back to Ares 51 on your way back. I'll show you places out there very are interesting. Thank you Christian
Oh those flies!!! Creepy! Great video Justin. I am not Mormon, but I thought the history of their people and how they got to Utah was very interesting. The house of Brigham Young and the 55 wives - - very interesting. I've never been to Utah. Thank you for sharing your trip! And the TRAIN SHOP? I am definitely putting that on the bucket list. I have never seen anything like that.
I live about 10 Miles from Navuoo have been to there historical stuff and the Jail where Joseph Smith was shot is near there in Carthage never been to Utah so it is so cool to see its beauty Thank you
I'm LDS, and I loved watching this video! I've been to the Beehive House, as well as the Lion House, I remember they had a restaurant down there somewhere... good food! Did you visit temple Square at all???
As a Mormon, this was a very entertaining video! Mostly accurate I'd say. Of course, there's some bias, but I don't blame you. When you head back, you should hike the Y or something. Utah is definitely a weeeird place but lovely.
Back in the 1970's, my family took a vacation to Wyoming, Utah and Arizona. In Utah, we stayed at a KOA campground. Of course, they gave us a free Book of Mormon and an earful about Mormon history and why we should convert. LOL Good memories. (We're still Methodists.)
Are you going to meet up with Adam in Utah tomorrow for the viewing of the Eclipse on Monday? I think it would be too funny if you did not see each other while in the same city at the same time. It may not be Disney, but I am sure there are amusement parks in Utah.
Wow! I have always hears of this lake, but I had no idea how desolate it was. I thought there would be buildings and attractions around it. Why on earth would anyone want to live there? Those flies! Ugh! Do thet process that salt for human consumption? If so, I bet there are a few flies thrown into the mix! The Heritage village was fascinating! I never knew the history behind
Hey, Justin: Please read a comment I left on your vlog YESTERDAY about your "Old Wild West Willie" voice character. Kind regards, T. Phoenix, Arizona USA
I love that some one finally came to Utah I love knowing what you are talking about and your enthusiasm about my state thank you

Hey Justin! Great video! I myself am a Mormon and it's always refreshing to see a respectful appreciation of Mormon history.

"Would you look at the minuscule size of this House" Dude I was crying 😂😂😂
Salt lake is so stinky! Thanks for taking us through Brigham Young's house. That was fascinating. I so enjoy your puns!
I'm glad somebody finally did a video in our beautiful Salt Lake City! And it was by Justin!! Which makes it even better!
I've actually listened to the audiobook for roughing it.... TWICE!!! I just love all Justins vlogs but these travel vlogs are great. I'm in England and I have learnt so much about America & its history from watching Justin over the years. X
Awesome video! All those flies are brutal.
I love your videos Justin! You have to come to Norway sometime in the future.
keep up the good work Justin
I had heard when Brigham Young saw the Salt Lake he mistakenly thought they had reached the Pacific and that's why they settled there.
I can just hear Ally saying, "don't bring those shoes back in the house!"
This is probably one of his best adventures
i love the musical Book of Mormon, so this video was very fascinating to me. Ever since I started watching you I've been very interested in history, which made school so much more enjoyable for me. I've been watching for four, almost five, years and I cannot thank you enough.
Wow interesting! Hope you find a good spot for the eclipse.
Very interesting, Justin, thanks for taking us along! Loved the look at the Great Salt Lake and seeing some of that Mormon history that I hadn't ever seen before. I knew the basics, but never saw any of that stuff. Cool.
I'm glad they chose Utah to settle. Couldn't imagine them coming to California
Well done Justin
Man I was working just across the street when you filmed this! I wish I could've said hi! Great vid about Salt Lake though!
Awesome as allways!!!

I swear you should have your own show tv..
Brigham Ooooold! lol
Last time I was at the Great Salt Lake, my dog and I stepped in quick sand. She almost drowned!
Love that Randomland Roaming Gnome music at the end. Makes my day!

I floated in the lake out on Antelope Island! Lots more people there, and lots of swimmers. It's definitely a unique experience!
Fun fact - the Salt Lake is what the entire central valley of California used to look like, a few hundred thousand years ago.
I enjoy all of your videos JustinScarred! You are Awesome!!Are you going to meet up with Adam the Woo?
Good stuff!
It's been a while since we have seen the pee wee action figure or hulio make a cameo appearance. Great video from Utah ,keep up the great vlogs
I love your videos! Your channel is growing so fast!👍👍👍👍👍😄
its so cool to see you talking about my hometown!!!
Nice video. Bakersfield CA has a pretty cool heritage park and Los Angeles has a little one.
I recognize all of this! Hooray! This is amazing!
I really wish you would have gone to the small village on antelope island near salt lake! It’s right up your alley!
This is the place from Cody's lab video where he, once again, proven that Earth is not flat.
Aahhhh it's so cool to see you at my home town! I had my 8th birthday in the Lion House!
My kids and I were at This Is The Place at the same time as you. Just barely missed you.
Saltair Trivia: the Saltair II (not the one in this video) was a location for a horror movie from 1962 called "Carnival of Souls."
also thank you for getting mormon history correct and being respectful about it. so many people just make fun of it and get it all wrong
1:07 oh jeez i remember my first visit to the lake, it was via antelope island. And those flies are unforgiving
Thank you for your fair and accurate history about Mormons and Salt Lake City. Good on ya!
I live about 10 Miles from Navuoo have been to there historical stuff and the Jail where Joseph Smith was shot is near there in Carthage never been to Utah so it is so cool to see its beauty Thank you

I live in Provo, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City and I have never been to the Salt Lake.
I used to live in Sandy, Utah. Miss that place.
Interesting history

I love that you are traveling out of Disney

If you like the Heritage Village, you should check out Greenfield Village in Dearborn MI sometime!
I'm surprised you didn't stop to see the giant (and beautiful) downtown library or make your way up to Ogden to see the Dinosaur Park.
LOL! Another Justin-ism: "Slime-a-roo!" Please hang onto that one. That, and "Pooty-Scootin'" are now classics.
The best time to go to the great salt lake is in the spring hardly any flies.
I you love trains. Don't miss the train museum in Ogden.
Amazing cabins😆Great Video..👍👍.....
Bro, are you still in Utah?! I live right near this!
Come to oregon and check out the oregon trail museums
THAT was AWESOME, also a HUGE fan of Twain ❤️

You should check out Conner prairie in Indiana. It's similar to the heritage Park.
