kremit the frog it's not that scary. The only scary part would be if your afraid of heights and your at the top. My first time when I was at the top i was like: what have I done... But after you do the drop if you like roller coasters its fun and not too intense. The only intense part is the cannibal roll. I would totally reccomend riding it though
this ride is hand smack down THE most excellent, smooth, powerful, thrilling, beautiful ride I've EVER been on and I'm 50 yrs old. doesn't hurt anything not one tiny bit, it was my first time, after waiting 3 years, the line moved fast and I had the finest AWesOME time EVER!! took 25 years off my "old" attitude too!! I highly recommend it!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
First time I went on it with my dad I was terrified. It scared the crap out of me but as soon as we got to the drop my hands went up and I had a blast. Only coaster I've done that on
I rode it last year and the elevator is cool. First drop is insane. The lagoon roll is so cool because you just hang out of your seat and it was AWSOME.
This is an amazing ride! the scariest part is the elevator, especially when you're at the bottom and you look up at how high it is. The drop is amazing. The whole ride is awesome and it is my number one looping coaster (tied with Griffon at Busch gardens). I would go back to lagoon just to ride cannibal for hours it is so good!
I just went to Lagoon today, and I rode this three times. The line is really long, but with the efficiency of loading and unloading, it goes by much quicker than several of the other rides in the park.
I know the lead engineer who designed this and Wicked. The reason why the lap bars are so weird is that they are a custom design so that amputees can ride them without falling out. It's kind of a long description on how they do it, but it's super interesting. The car also tells the operators if the person is too short, tall, fat etc. for the ride. Crazy cool engineering.
Except that as a 6'4" man with somewhat generous proportions, they didn't think of putting a car outside for you to ensure you can fit, as many other major parks do. So, you could potentially wait in line for over an hour or two, and not be able to ride and forced into the walk of shame.
i am NOT a rollercoaster person, but i went to lagoon this weekend, and i did cannibal! i was so scared and i was freaking out! ive never even done a rollercoaster with a loop before!! but i did it and I LOVED IT! its my fav rollercoaster ever 100/10 recommended! its such a blast honestly the elevator ride up to the drop is literally the scariest part because you psych yourself out but the drop and the loops, etc are just fun! i absolutely loved iy
This ride is huge for a smaller park, my friend went on it last Saturday for the first time and loved it. I live right next door to the park, literally a 5 minute drive. We are going tomorrow for season of 2021
I live in Utah and cannibal and roller coaster are my favorite rides there, ya there is a roller coaster named roller coaster there, it’s 2019 now it doesn’t break down anymore
Nice job with the review. I agree with your assessment. My favorite element besides the first drop is the Lagoon roll, the air/hang time is like nothing else you can experience anywhere. Hands up is the only way to go through the lagoon roll. It is unbelievable. To your point about not being intense enough, I actually like that it's not too intense because then I can ride it over and over again.
I just rode this yesterday I was super scared because of the lap belt but it is extremely safe. the belt is practically like a table and it has a bar for your legs so your legs are secure as well.
I went on it yesterday for the first time. Definitely didn't disappoint!, so I went 3 more times that day. You can usually get through the line pretty fast, because of the multiple cars being processed.
If anyone has any questions about this ride ASK ME i was a ride mechanic at lagoon and i had to put this thing together....... FYI it was delayed cause the restraint system FAILED what they call a Violence test....
I think this is a very cool coaster. It is neat that this park practically in my back yard now has a record holder. You should try this ride at night sometime if you haven't. The elevator shaft is pitch-black, and the first drop into the tunnel seems to swallow you alive! I will say that like you, I love roller coasters, and rides in general.
i live about 25 minutes away from lagoon so when its open we go A LOT. And cannibal is BY FAR my favorite ride. but i can only ride it about 2 times per visit before i get a massive headache and feel like im about to throw up. And i dont know what it is about the end part but i ALWAYS almost pass out on that part. but we stop just in time for me to not pass out. And i dont know what it is about that part but for some reason i always almost black out. Overrall, i give it a 9.3/10
Great Review! I do dis agree that the Lagoon Roll is the best part of the ride. I think the beyond vertical drop being as tall as it is is the best part of the ride. Are you going to review the other rides? I'd like to know what ya thought of BomBora. That is one of my favorites there.
lagoon is my park,,and they will be building more intense coasters over years...Lagoon is done with kid rides and there planning to build bigger coasters then cannible. lagoon is making the blue prints to a ride bigger and more insane ride than cannible
Where did you here about this hyper ride? I would personally prefer one in between wicked and cannibal to build up a little to cannibal, as I feel I haven’t built up enough to go on it. (I still will but not now)
Learn to spell, and no they aren't. Their next coaster is NOT an extreme level Cannibal type ride. Also, it's obvious you were like 12 when you wrote this xD.
There are free lockers at the begging of the line. When it first opened they had plastic storage totes to put your stuff in. The next year of operation they installed free lockers. They're just like the lockers by wicked and the fire dragon.
Thank you for mentioning that you feel like you’re going to fall out. I was terrified of this ride because everyone I went with or asked about it said they felt secure the whole ride. Gave it another try knowing I wasn’t the only one and it was a blast.
I know! I tried the test seat and it didn’t go on my waist it went on my thighs. I was terrified, but when I got on the train, it got on my waist, but I still felt like I was gonna fall out on the drop and the lagoon fool!

Its first half was killer but its killed by that MCBR. But yeah fun, unique ride, that drop is wild. My only real issue is I wish those trims weren't there, or at least lighter. Have some major bite and I felt it sapped that big turn when it could've been real intense, instead was mild.
I’m pretty good with coasters. This one of the only coasters besides those stratas that would really make my heart pound. This thing legitimately scares me and I want to ride it ASAP.
There is not a single thing that is not thrilling about this ride! It packs in everything you want in a roller coaster! If I had to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 100!!!

The only problem with cannibal is when you sit on the side in the middle row or even in the front row you feel like you're going to completely fall out because of the lack of restraints but luckily I was in the middle row but still I guess if you like feeling like you're going to fall out of things it's a pretty good ride overall

it's a fun ride.

it actually is a 180 feet tge tower the guy failed to mention the drop goes 20 feet under ground.....
CVW2112 that would be an important piece of information haha
CVW2112 it does not go 20 ft underground. The track does rise 208 ft.
Actually y’all got it wrong. Hyper’s don’t have inversions. So Cannibal is not a hyper coaster.
Looks amazing! You want to talk about breaking down? Top Thrill Dragster runs 50% of the time. Since 2003 you would think it would be figured out
Lagoon when no one will build Cannibal
“Fine, I’ll do it myself”
Pretty much
Gerstlauer could have built it because it's similar to an Infinity Coaster
Yeah and it was built in house so ur right
It was built Art Engineering who built Wonder Mountain's Guardian
