Man, I'm glad you did this because I have to do it and was wondering. I picked up a replacement at the local rv store for about 28 bucks and took me literally 15 minutes. Getting my ladder out was the longest.

Just bought a toy hauler with this fan, it will open but won't close. Think it's the same issue??

I wouldn't think so cause gravity is working for you at that point... But it is easy to check by crawling up there and see.
