Merry Christmas cous, been watching for awhile, you're a lot heavy handed with the spices for my taste....but I love your videos. You are so down to earth and seem like a good natured, happy person. Because of age - 78 and Disabilities I am only able to go to drive thru pantries. I am do thankful for what I get. Keep up the great shows and you and your family have a very happy holiday.

Thank you for showing this to me. I'm 71 years old and live alone. I live on my Social Security check. I get the minimum amount because I was disabled for 11 years before going on retirement. I have been blessed enough that usually my food stamps last me all month. Once in a while, I'll need to go to the food bank.

That word, "potlicker" must be a southern thing. I first heard it watching Miss Brenda videos. I'm from North Central Iowa and I had never heard of it before.
A couple of additions in your recipes I wanted to add. Your food looks great. So for a roux you need equal parts flour and sugar. You probably knew this but wanted to offer the passed down knowledge from my mom. If you do a chicken two tablespoons of fat and two of butter, fry them in bottom of pan and then add the liquids to make a thickening agent for gravy. If you do the butter, bacon and onions, I would say after the bacon is cooked remove the bacon briefly and add the flour and let the flour and butter cook for a minute or two and then add in the beans liquid and other ingredients. This is IF you were trying to thicken the beans liquid with a roux. Next I wanted to offer two things for the candied yams that make them even better. Grate the rind off of an orange using the smallest grater side or a microplane if you have one. Juice the orange and add the juice of the orange and zest to the sugar, brown sugar, butter and the spices. One other spice I add is about four or five whole cloves you can pick out when serving. It makes it super delicious and the orange and zest balances the sugar a little bit with a slight tang. And hurrah for low sodium stovetop. It’s super salty as the regular stuff. For my stuffing I sauté an onion and celery and a handful of dried sage from my grown herbs and then add the broth to boil and then the stuffing mix and an egg makes it stickier if you like it that way. My mom swears by Bells seasoning which you can get on Amazon. It’s sage and a ton of other yummy herbs. Your dinner looks amazing. Very similar to my thanksgiving menu. I did Turkey, stuffing, gravy, homemade orange cranberry sauce, green bean casserole and candied yams with orange. I guess my having grown up in Florida really comes out at the holidays. Oh and pumpkin pie of course. Debating on Xmas dinner still. Burned out on poultry so may try salmon with a creamy sorrel sauce if I can access some fresh sorrel. Used to grow it in my garden also. It’s very tart and sorta lemony and makes a simple creamy sauce super good. Also grows like a weed. So maybe that salmon or may go east button and so a ham slice, a baked sweet potato and some green bean casserole bc I have the ingredients for it lol. I am doing solo Xmas this year so appreciated the dinner for one or two ideas. I had so many leftovers and made bone broth at thsnksguvhgg. Just when I had wrapped it all up and done with it my food bank gave me another small Turkey and I was like oh thanks and oh my lord it’s thanksgiving all over again bc I had no room to keep it in my freezer Hahaa. Next stop Turkey soup, enchiladas, pot pie and maybe the Turkey tetrazzini my mom made or Turkey divan my ex’s mom liked to make. I maybe gobbling. Lol Just made some cranberry walnut bread this week bc I had leftover crans and some walnuts from the food bank. It’s got orange also lol.
Our local iga has frozen turkey breasts which are running 6ish dollars for a medium size 1 or 9 to 10ish for a larger 1 That's a good deal turkey breast especially if it's just 1 or 2 or even 3 people Plus you'd likely have leftover with just 1 or 2 people and if you made sides
For anyone who's diabetic or hypertensive, the pork can be replaced with a smoked turkey wing and the sugar can be reduced to a couple spoonfuls. Eat to live & fight another day! Thanks for your video.
What a great video! Lots of times it’s just me a one little one home, even on holidays because of my husband’s job so this is a great idea!
Everything you’ve cooked so far has been Amazing. Thank you
Oh goodness, the meal looks delicious! 🎄

Uncle Chris, you didn't put how you made the seasoning that you put on the bird in the description area.
Great video ☃️
Yummy😊
you need to put a damp cloth under the cutting board so it doesn't move! that's dangerous, might slip.... Love the recipes!
You have a lovely voice!
All of that looks delicious.
If you are one person eating, you'll have leftovers for a couple of days.
Yes, I love leftovers.I don't know why people don't like them.I do
