Football hooliganism was a huge and very real problem. One thing I’d like to point out, they mentioned Heysel and Hillsborough as though they were both down to hooliganism. Hillsborough had nothing to do with hooliganism, it was a tragedy caused by police incompetence and bad stadium design. RIP97 YNWA
hillsborough wasnt a holigan thing it was over crowding and poor police management that caused that sad day , and the event that brought in all seater staduims and proper ticketing
Exactly, but heysel was a result of charging in a poor stadium. Most holligans, only fight others of a like mind - shirters and civvies aren’t fair game.
@@spruce381 and yet 18 days before Heysel stadium disaster Ian Hambridge, just a kid was killed at a Leeds V Birmingham City match in England that everyone seems to forget. The poor kid went to his first ever game, fighting broke out and a wall collapsed- sound familiar.
I'm from Tunisia we've been ruled by a Dictator president for 23 years , Anybody's who goes against his government and ideology goes Missing or put behind bars and u know what I'm Talking about ...football stadiums were the only escape for ppls to unite and make chants and sing against the oppression and the cruel system .Most of Time they go and fight the stadium police ..and the hole Game Turn into a shi**it show ..Football is More than a just sport Bro
Watch the film Rise of the Foot Soldier. It's on RUclips full length film based on true story about football hooligans going into organised crime and three of them where executed with shotguns in 1994. It's bad ass film.
Not a criticism but you would ban a sport because of the killings but not ban guns. Anyway what always gets missed out in these videos in the poor kid, Ian Hambridge , that went to his first ever football game in England 18 days before the Heysel stadium disaster and was actually killed because of fighting between Leeds and Birmingham City fans and the same thing happened, a wall collapsed on him but yet the English disease carried on.
I’ve literally had 3 relationships end over football (kind of) gets to a point girls want you to choose between going home and away week in week out or hee and the answer is always the same my club was my first love
I don’t hate it - some of it is a follow on of mod - clothes, loyalty, and young lads counting coup. Don’t admire the sheepish racism that has been pushed by the right. And anyone over 30, still looking for a tear up is a bit sad. There are plenty who do.

I remember the fans were happy that day, it was sunny and I was watching it unfold live thinking what is going on!
Nope, the police made the decisions they did because there was a history of crowd disorder so yeah, it was some degree a hooliganism thing.

The movie "Green Street Hooligans" tells a good story on how real football Hooliganism was, football firms are very real and are very active today.
Away days and football factory far better - also led to a new generation, who weren’t there in 70s-90s wanting some.
Gosh my cousin is in that movie- how embarrassing
