Very helpful video. I run a 2019 XT Cab with plow, lights, heat - not pulling as much amperage as you are, but I’m still going to apply this set up (+ battery tender at night. Thanks a lot. Greetings from Colorado.
Those are a can am light. They are in their catolog. They are currently on my sons jeep. I went with a 50” light bar. I still have the cage though and for sale. If you decide to go that route, hit me up.
Hey there so I purchased a center seat storage bin and I am going to set up dual batteries like yours. Two quick questions for you: 1.) did you buy two of the same batteries (do they need to match Ah rating, or does it matter)? 2.) I see you set them up in parallel, but my question is pertaining to your load side out: do you have one battery terminal on each battery going to load out, or did you just simply hook the second battery to your original battery and let the original battery feed the load out to the Defender? Thanks a lot, Mark in Colorado. (PS - I did a cool upgrade, I'd like to send you a picture of it).
Mortimer Plimpton matching ah rating is best. Mine are not exact, but really close. My load is coming from main battery. This one is just feeding it. Positive to positive, negative to negative. What’s your mod?
@@pyrocrew13 Thanks a lot. I may just do the same to keep it simple - then keep a Battery Tender on it overnight. I put in a really cool LED Mag Light mount in the cab - cheap, but necessary up where I work. I can send you a picture if you want.
I have the stock roof mounted light inside and some small LED’s mounted in the heater. You can message a pic to Facebook messenger. facebook.com/ryan.kovach1
Watched Your video about the second battery I happened to see that you have some type of floor mats can I ask where you got them or what kind they are?
I noticed that this is a different battery than the odyssey pc1200. What kind is it and do you still have the other battery under the passenger seat? Thanks!
Byron Maxwell I do still have the odyssey under the passenger seat. This is a shuriken. Really close on size. Actually a hair bigger. Running dual batteries with the plow set up. 😉
@@pyrocrew13 I really like your set up. I'll probably get everything you have except the plow and backup cameras. In your opinion do you think i would need 2 batteries or just upgrade the stock battery? Thanks for your quick reply!
Very cool set up. Sure beats the Can Am accessory battery!

Did you run it straight from battery to battery. Positive to positive . And negativity to negative?
3 years late but I’m wondering the same, I see a lot of people running a isolator I’d like to skip it and run them together if I can
@@BIGSCOTTY732 I ended up running with a isolator. I run my winch and sounds and wips from it. It works great.
@@mudd.monkeys.810 and the charging system charges both batterys?
@BIG SCOTTY 732 so far I had no issues with batteries. I run my radio and wip lights and winch from the second battery and no charging issues.

Snhu Mom those are out of my wife’s GMC Acadia. 😂

Stock battery upgrade is a must. Especially in cold water
@@pyrocrew13 Thanks!
