- IndianRaga Singapore is delighted to present our next Bharatanatyam Raga Lab production - Thillana 2.0.
A Thillana is a rhythmic dance piece in the Carnatic music tradition. This dance is choreographed on the catchy Dhanashree Thillana presented with a modern twist by hugely talented @Mahesh Raghvan and @Sharanya Srinivas in 2017!
Presenting a Bharatanatyam dance against the backdrop of the enchanting Chinese and Japanese Gardens, Singapore symobilizes the ethnic diversity and harmony that exists in multi-racial Singapore. The dancers in the song are first seen to enjoy the rhythms and beats that have captivated their hearts and movements. In the later part of the song, they show their devotion to Lord Padmanabha in his different facets and seek his refuge.
