Thank you for the video. I have a slight challenge. I have an ADT safewatch 3000 with 1, 2 wire smoke detector. I like to upgrade the 2 wire smoke detector to a smoke and carbon monoxide detector. However, I don’t know if I’m system will allow the upgrade nor which type of detector I should look for. I will also be adding 5 more detectors smoke and carbon, thanks to your video I’m good with that part. Thank you in advance
Ideally you will need to create a parallel wire loop that "zig-zags" back and forth from each sensor to the panel with a resistor on the last smoke. Alternatively you can just connect them all to zone 1 , however, only one resistor can be used on zone 1, so only the smoke with the resistor will be supervised for faults if you do this.
I just installed a new Vista 20p with 5 smokes and after programming I'm getting a Fire Trouble 01 error. Not sure why. Any clues? The units I'm using are System Sensor 13 Series model 2W-B.
The Vista panels normally come with a pack of resistors that includes the 2.2K resistor for 2-wire smokes, but if you do not have all of the original equipment you will need to source it elsewhere. You can find them online pretty easily.

How do you tie in the cables if all the cables are home run back to the panel?

so if you use zone 1 say for a door contact with a EOLR that line will be a powered line? where zones 2-8 are just looking for continuity?
All zones look for continuity. It's just that zone 1 provides power for 2 wire smokes
Is this the same if it were to be installed on a Vista 128?
thanks for that it was really good and help me
Awesome! We are very glad to hear it helped. Have a great day!

Where do I find the resister

RRS-MOD?
How to wire a heat detector for safewatch 3000?
How to wire 2 two wire smoke in series?
? It wouldn't work then...
I have dvr vista honeywell I forgot password how I get my password and open my dvr
