As a Mike defender, I can really see his actions as him being confused as to what ‘love’ even really means SO much. His parents aren’t in love, they never say “I love you” to each other, and therefore he thinks that behaviour is normal- so when he met El and she was interesting and nice to him, he confused his feelings of friendship for romance. He 100% realised this in season 3 when he experimented a lot with her (i.e. all of that kissing), but especially when they broke up, but knew that if they separated officially, he’d be left by himself and actually have to think out his repressed emotions and feelings. And I mean this so, SO lovingly- but Mike Wheeler is more than likely a gay man, and as a gay man myself, people saying he’s Bisexual all the time is super frustrating. This isn’t to say either is canon, but it just feels so much like a specifically gay experience to me that I cannot understand how people see his relationship with El as romantic… at any point! His only relationship with a girl his age is Eleven, and going off of that, I’d say he’s gay TLDR; Mike Wheeler is gay and has been in love with Will since season 2, but has been denying his own feelings and sexuality since. Again, this is my personal little character study, so you can disagree, but yeah! BOOM!

3:22 A lot of people misunderstood this scene I think she wasn't referring to the bullying part cuz she knows he was bullied she even saved him from his bullies 2 times she was referring to the fact that she grew up in a lab and was stripped away from her mom and how she will never be normal because of her powers and now that they were gone at that moment she doesn't know what to do and she was at her lowest at that time
yeah but in that moment her "no you don't" was him knowing what it's like to be bullied because that's what HE said, so it was actually really invalidating
Tbh, I've never liked Mileven, it seemed so forced and tbh a bit toxic at times. I only found out Byler existed THROUGH my extreme dislike for Mileven. Byler then just made sense to me in all the ways Mileven didn’t. It's so frustrating though bc when I tell ppl I don't like Mileven but love Byler, they assume I don't like Mileven BECAUSE of Byler when it's truly the other way around. I like Byler bc of Mileven. Also, I love El so much and she deserves the world, something Mike can't give her, she needs to find it for herself and Ik she can, just not with Mike. Idk if that makes sense tho lol

This genuinely has nothing to do with byler. If mileven is going to be a thing still in s5, they need a lot of help because it's not a healthy relationship at the moment. You can ship whatever you ship, but c'mon, even people who ship a particular ship should be able to see the ship's flaws. With the amount of people who don't see the major issues in their relationship I wonder if we even all watched the same show lol (I am also saying that they could genuinely become a healthy relationship in s5 but as of now we have no way of knowing the outcome). Also, no one was attacking you for what you ship, I was stating my personal opinion about the ship.
