Jin really did so well despite having to have surgery, some of the other members also caught covid and were recovering from that, so they really had to hustle- it shows how hardworking they are, their teamwork is impeccable and I love them so much bc they really are a rare breed of talent and endurance and love.

I hope future reactions for different groups will be decided by hardcore fans or polls. The songs you picked for BTS is good but those are not really a good introduction to someone who's new into Kpop/BTS. And it doesn't really show their depth when it comes to songwriting.😢💜
My heart ache cause there are a lot of gems left to explore for BTS. They are such a versatile artists that you can't just conclude what kind of a band BTS is just by listening to a couple of their songs. Especially their English songs were made during the pandemic which has a much more poppy sound just for people to enjoy and chill during that stressful time. Their art lies within their Korean discography and if you are not an ARMY, but just a casual fan, I would suggest you take suggestions from the ARMYs who knows how to recommend songs for newbies to BTS. I hope you will react to BTS again in the future. This has been a nice experience, but quite sad cause you don't really get to see what they are actually capable of and why so many people around the world resonate with their lyrics.
nice, I was hoping Janci would pick the Grammy performance! What's especially impressive about it is that two of the members had COVID beforehand and had to stay behind in Korea to quarantine so by the time all the members could be together, they only had one day to practice the new dance break altogether! They pulled it off magnificently.
People complaining about the song choices: Janci clearly picked the most popular songs, songs that mostŕ people have heard before, if you consider BTS. I'm ARMY now, but my introduction to BTS was Dynamite. Before that Kpop really didn't do it for me. After Dynamite I started watching their videos and could get into their Korean stuff.. Again, as an ARMY, I'm just happy when people wanna watch or listen to them. Would I love if they had reacted to some of my favorites - Daechwita, On, Black Swan, Pied Piper - sure. But I'm happy with what I got.😊

So fun fact, my coworker is best friends with Stephen Kirk a writer on this song and my coworker is a songwriter as well and he asked me at work if I knew a BTS because I have a sticker on my car. I said yes, very questioningly because he’s a very country artist, and asked him how do you know the Korean pop group BTS? He said because Stephen is working on a song with them currently right now and I have the demo. Would you like to hear it? I said absolutely and after he showed it to me, I was singing smooth like butter about three months before the song came out. And now my old coworker is no longer working in restaurants because he’s now a full-time songwriter working out of Stevens studio that he was able to purchase and build from writing co writing Butter.
Hoping they'll follow the timeline of BTS as well, instead of just picking the more recent songs (as much as I enjoy them). I just love the story of BTS. It'd help a lot to see the gradual changes and development of not only their group, but kpop as a whole.
This was the last BTS song…they will be moving on to another group. They react to a few of each group and then change to a different group. They haven’t said whether or not they will be doing more BTS in the future…maybe after they run out of groups they will.
Thank you for this short but sweet journey into bts :) I think the only thing that's bittersweet is that since all these reactions were pre-recorded there was no way of seeing/reacting to some of the comments either answering your questions or giving suggestions for different songs/performances. So I hope that might be possible in the future :) I know Flynn has been active in the comments and I think he could make some good recommendations with the help of armys (only the armys who were nice in the comments ofc lol)

Great reaction as always! - something I wanted to add on information: RM actually updated his stage name from 2017 onwards as "Real Me", to show the new stage of his life going into his later 20s and wanting to showcase himself and not the "Rap monster" persona he started as with Bangtan. High light - if you ever got the chance PLEASE listen to Intro:Persona from their Map of the Soul" Persona album.
This Grammy’s performance came together despite a lot of difficulties. Jin got injured. JHope and JK had Covid so they were only able to practice altogether the day before. Absolutely Pros! And their stage presence is insane
i respectfully disagree with lineup of songs chosen to react to. Instead of picking another full English song, i personally would have preferred them react to a song like Mic Drop or Idol or Fake Love, a song in their native language. The English songs do not define their whole music career. Sorry to say im disappointed in the choices of the reaction songs. Thank you either way for reacting to them.
My thought exactly! I don't know why they didn't just ask ARMYs to recommend songs and choose from that list. I was disheartened cause they are one of reactors that I like. Hopefully they will come back to BTS in the future.

i love all these songs but they don't encapsulate bts as a whole picking out all their most pop like stuff if i had only 5 songs to show someone, i would pick one of these maybe and the rest other genres they have done they can still be popular but just something more to show how different they can be and some of their harder hitting lyricism

As a fan and patreon member of you guys since 2016 and as an ARMY since 2015, I'd really love if you guys could continue your BTS journey! Especially I would love if you watched the introductory videos as well as some behind the scenes stuff because I'd really love for you guys to get a glimpse of what BTS' personalities are like since they're very sincere and, in my opinion, hilarious people. Exploring more of the music would also be well received from all of us!

Fun Fact: V was counting in his head the whole time to match up with bg sounds, while also doing skit/flirting with OliviaRodrigo " he said to olivia blah blah lol" . V mentioned that in the interview. That's show how he's so good at what he's doing. He's Such a Pro! No wonder people call him Stage Genius!
it's cool a lot of the little tricks in that grammy performance were stuff they've done before. like the fake throw of the card they actually do with a ball cap in a song off their very first album. So it's a cool part of the show, but also a little nod to OG ARMY who know what's up. They've also done the jacket choreo before, but with only two people during a Michael Jackson tribute they did at a fan event. Again something only fans would have seen. BTS has such a body of work and rich history they are always giving little easter egg type things like that. It makes it more and more fun the farther down the rabbit hole you go
Appreciate that you have loved their light fun Pop & most viewed stuff and hope you come back to react more to give more of a chance to get to know why they're at the top and grew from the bottom. Like you watched Spring Day, but a casual listener wouldn't know the symbols they left for the fairy tragedy in the MV unless you checked out 1 of 2 explanation video. Stop hating guys atleast they got introduced to BTS even if the selection of songs is limited. She is a multi so the selection makes sense and there’s nothing wrong with that. Not everyone needs to dive deep in the rabbit hole. Some just want to be casual fans snd thats ok.
I really want them to react to ON it has some of the best vocals in a BTS song EVER. Dope is another epic song the one that introduced me to BTS and is extended underrated. MIC Drop go's really hard on the rapping and is epic. Idol is always a fantastic choice if you haven't seen it yet

Another thing worth reacting about Butter is the behind the scene video of the preparation for Grammy. They had to make big change onjust 3 days. Not able to rehearse with all the members bc of some of the members just recovered from covid etc. It's a really cool video. A shame the aventure for BTS finishing here bc y(all just covered the 1% surface of their discography and story tbh. Portrayed quite a shallow side to them when everything around them are so deep, their lyrics, their musicality, their solo personal music taste and preference, their story. But happy to saw you at least discover them a bit :) This Grammy perf was surely one of their best at western award show even tho it's not even 10% of what they do on their home awards show and concerts.
First of all, thank you for reacting to BTS!! I really enjoyed that you did reactions with this MV, dance practice, then performance format. I think it's a great way to see different sides of a new song. Secondly, if you have the interest and time I absolutely recommend checking out more of their group and maybe eventually solo songs. I get that you'll be moving on to different k-pop groups (which I'm also looking forward too!) but if you feel like sprinkling in more BTS between artists, Army can offer some recommendations. I think best way might be poll format, but that's just my suggestion, do what works for you! Thirdly, I really hope you enjoyed this appetizer into BTS! As others have voiced (some politely and unfortunately some rudely, which I apologize for on behalf of true Army) BTS has a vast discography that explores different styles and genres, and ranges from deep to lighter fun themes. Trended #1 worldwide higher than BTS did. And that too for hours and hours long with over 4.77M tweets.

iirc they did the choreography for the Grammy performance a couple of days before the event. Jhope was so nervous because of the little time they had to practice it. Like not even a week of practice, and then the choreo adjusted for Jin’s absence in the earlier half. The jacket choreo was something Jimin and Jungkook did before in a different performance, and I was so proud to see a BTS version with it modified to a well executed choreo.

RM stands for Real Me. It used to be Rap Monster when he was a teenager but according to him, he outgrown it. It simply became too cringy for him. Don't get me wrong, I love Butter but when you're gonna use only a few songs from a band that has hundreds of them with multiple genres across, it would be good to not put them in a box by going mainly with songs that were popular on Billboard, that's not a good representation and it's kinda doing them a disservice. If you're gonna revisit it, start with Taylor Mari's guide to BTS (sorry Janci, but that's not the best research) and go with the important songs from different eras like: We are Bulletproof pt.2, N.O., Danger, War of Hormone, Save Me, Fake Love, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Ddaeng, Ugh, Dimple, Pied Piper, Idol, Airplane pt.2, I Need U, Run, Fire, Dope, Not Today, Mic Drop, We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, Magic Shop, The Truth Untold, House of Cards, ON - and that's still only the tip of the iceberg, not to mention their solo songs that aren't from their solo careers but from the BTS albums.

It's a bit of a boomer that you guys didn't react to songs like Black Swan, Yet to Come, Fake Love, Blood, Sweat and Tears, ON and so on. Don't get me wrong i love all the songs you've reacted to, but this only shows you their pop-y side with the exception of Spring Day, it'd be nice for you to react to bigger variety of their songs. Black Swan is actually a must lol one of the greatest songs in their entire catalog! It was actually inspired by Marta Graham's quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful", if you ever react to it, it'd be cool if besides the dance practice you could react to the Black Swan art film since it includes the orchestral version of the song!

I hope you will react to BTS again in the future. This has been a nice experience, but quite sad cause you don't really get to see what they are actually capable of and why so many people around the world resonate with their lyrics.
nice, I was hoping Janci would pick the Grammy performance! What's especially impressive about it is that two of the members had COVID beforehand and had to stay behind in Korea to quarantine so by the time all the members could be together, they only had one day to practice the new dance break altogether! They pulled it off magnificently.
People complaining about the song choices: Janci clearly picked the most popular songs, songs that mostŕ people have heard before, if you consider BTS. I'm ARMY now, but my introduction to BTS was Dynamite. Before that Kpop really didn't do it for me. After Dynamite I started watching their videos and could get into their Korean stuff.. Again, as an ARMY, I'm just happy when people wanna watch or listen to them. Would I love if they had reacted to some of my favorites - Daechwita, On, Black Swan, Pied Piper - sure. But I'm happy with what I got.😊
Everyone complaining about missing songs when Eric literally says at the end of the video, If we missed something suggest it and we will try to get to it later.
So fun fact, my coworker is best friends with Stephen Kirk a writer on this song and my coworker is a songwriter as well and he asked me at work if I knew a BTS because I have a sticker on my car. I said yes, very questioningly because he’s a very country artist, and asked him how do you know the Korean pop group BTS? He said because Stephen is working on a song with them currently right now and I have the demo. Would you like to hear it? I said absolutely and after he showed it to me, I was singing smooth like butter about three months before the song came out. And now my old coworker is no longer working in restaurants because he’s now a full-time songwriter working out of Stevens studio that he was able to purchase and build from writing co writing Butter.

Hoping they'll follow the timeline of BTS as well, instead of just picking the more recent songs (as much as I enjoy them). I just love the story of BTS.
It'd help a lot to see the gradual changes and development of not only their group, but kpop as a whole.
The fact that several of them were English-only songs... Would've liked Dope or IDOL.
This was the last BTS song…they will be moving on to another group. They react to a few of each group and then change to a different group. They haven’t said whether or not they will be doing more BTS in the future…maybe after they run out of groups they will.
yeah i mean i like these songs but they have WAY more sides to them than just pop which was all that was shown
Thank you for this short but sweet journey into bts :) I think the only thing that's bittersweet is that since all these reactions were pre-recorded there was no way of seeing/reacting to some of the comments either answering your questions or giving suggestions for different songs/performances. So I hope that might be possible in the future :) I know Flynn has been active in the comments and I think he could make some good recommendations with the help of armys (only the armys who were nice in the comments ofc lol)

Thanks for this 101 intro to BTS. I know people are not into the song choices as BTS discography as a group (and solo releases) have such a variety it’s hard to demonstrate with 5 choices. Great reaction as always! - something I wanted to add on information: RM actually updated his stage name from 2017 onwards as "Real Me", to show the new stage of his life going into his later 20s and wanting to showcase himself and not the "Rap monster" persona he started as with Bangtan. High light - if you ever got the chance PLEASE listen to Intro:Persona from their Map of the Soul" Persona album.
This Grammy’s performance came together despite a lot of difficulties. Jin got injured. JHope and JK had Covid so they were only able to practice altogether the day before. Absolutely Pros! And their stage presence is insane

i respectfully disagree with lineup of songs chosen to react to. Instead of picking another full English song, i personally would have preferred them react to a song like Mic Drop or Idol or Fake Love, a song in their native language. The English songs do not define their whole music career. Sorry to say im disappointed in the choices of the reaction songs. Thank you either way for reacting to them.
My thought exactly! I don't know why they didn't just ask ARMYs to recommend songs and choose from that list. I was disheartened cause they are one of reactors that I like. Hopefully they will come back to BTS in the future.

i love all these songs but they don't encapsulate bts as a whole picking out all their most pop like stuff
if i had only 5 songs to show someone, i would pick one of these maybe and the rest other genres they have done

As a fan and patreon member of you guys since 2016 and as an ARMY since 2015, I'd really love if you guys could continue your BTS journey! Especially I would love if you watched the introductory videos as well as some behind the scenes stuff because I'd really love for you guys to get a glimpse of what BTS' personalities are like since they're very sincere and, in my opinion, hilarious people. Exploring more of the music would also be well received from all of us!

Fun Fact: V was counting in his head the whole time to match up with bg sounds, while also doing skit/flirting with OliviaRodrigo " he said to olivia blah blah lol" . it's cool a lot of the little tricks in that grammy performance were stuff they've done before. like the fake throw of the card they actually do with a ball cap in a song off their very first album. So it's a cool part of the show, but also a little nod to OG ARMY who know what's up.
They've also done the jacket choreo before, but with only two people during a Michael Jackson tribute they did at a fan event. Again something only fans would have seen.
BTS has such a body of work and rich history they are always giving little easter egg type things like that. It makes it more and more fun the farther down the rabbit hole you go

Appreciate that you have loved their light fun Pop & most viewed stuff and hope you come back to react more to give more of a chance to get to know why they're at the top and grew from the bottom. Like you watched Spring Day, but a casual listener wouldn't know the symbols they left for the fairy tragedy in the MV unless you checked out 1 of 2 explanation video. Stop hating guys atleast they got introduced to BTS even if the selection of songs is limited. She is a multi so the selection makes sense and there’s nothing wrong with that. Not everyone needs to dive deep in the rabbit hole. Some just want to be casual fans snd thats ok.

I really want them to react to ON it has some of the best vocals in a BTS song EVER. Dope is another epic song the one that introduced me to BTS and is extended underrated. MIC Drop go's really hard on the rapping and is epic. Idol is always a fantastic choice if you haven't seen it yet

Another thing worth reacting about Butter is the behind the scene video of the preparation for Grammy.
They had to make big change onjust 3 days. Not able to rehearse with all the members bc of some of the members just recovered from covid etc.

Portrayed quite a shallow side to them when everything around them are so deep, their lyrics, their musicality, their solo personal music taste and preference, their story.

First of all, thank you for reacting to BTS!! I really enjoyed that you did reactions with this MV, dance practice, then performance format. I think it's a great way to see different sides of a new song.
Secondly, if you have the interest and time I absolutely recommend checking out more of their group and maybe eventually solo songs. I get that you'll be moving on to different k-pop groups (which I'm also looking forward too!) but if you feel like sprinkling in more BTS between artists, Army can offer some recommendations. I think best way might be poll format, but that's just my suggestion, do what works for you!
Thirdly, I really hope you enjoyed this appetizer into BTS! As others have voiced (some politely and unfortunately some rudely, which I apologize for on behalf of true Army) BTS has a vast discography that explores different styles and genres, and ranges from deep to lighter fun themes. My hope is that you can explore a bit more of that. But if not any time soon, thank you anyway for these fun and genuine reactions. Borahae! 💜💜

So sad to hear this was the last BTS reaction 💔 if you ever start them up again I think Black swan would be a great song (make sure to also include the orchestral version!! 💜) as it has great live performances, as well as maybe ON (crazy choreo in the kinetic manifesto film ver as well as an interesting MV) as well as maybe including a deep dive video from dkdktv for social commentary/ lyric breakdown 🫶🏼
iirc they did the choreography for the Grammy performance a couple of days before the event. Jhope was so nervous because of the little time they had to practice it. Like not even a week of practice, and then the choreo adjusted for Jin’s absence in the earlier half. The jacket choreo was something Jimin and Jungkook did before in a different performance, and I was so proud to see a BTS version with it modified to a well executed choreo.

no hate to janci at all, she did what she thought was best and she’s obviously a casual listener, but i wish you would’ve gotten some help from someone who’s an army.
bts has a lot of music and to encapsulate their whole discography in 5 songs is hard enough, but to choose 2 of these 5 songs to be their english singles is definitely a choice. there’s a lot more to them and i’m sad that hasn’t been shown.
even explaining some of the songs you’ve already reacted to would’ve sufficed, like the meaning behind spring day, the origin story of boy with luv or the reason the english singles even exist.
i really hope you guys revisit bts with the help of armys. songs like danger, run, save me, blood sweat and tears, fake love, idol (with an explanation), black swan and on would be an important addition to your reaction. i know that sounds like a lot, but bts has a lot of songs…

RM stands for Real Me. It used to be Rap Monster when he was a teenager but according to him, he outgrown it. It simply became too cringy for him.
Don't get me wrong, I love Butter but when you're gonna use only a few songs from a band that has hundreds of them with multiple genres across, it would be good to not put them in a box by going mainly with songs that were popular on Billboard, that's not a good representation and it's kinda doing them a disservice.
If you're gonna revisit it, start with Taylor Mari's guide to BTS (sorry Janci, but that's not the best research) and go with the important songs from different eras like: We are Bulletproof pt.2, N.O., Danger, War of Hormone, Save Me, Fake Love, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Ddaeng, Ugh, Dimple, Pied Piper, Idol, Airplane pt.2, I Need U, Run, Fire, Dope, Not Today, Mic Drop, We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, Magic Shop, The Truth Untold, House of Cards, ON - and that's still only the tip of the iceberg, not to mention their solo songs that aren't from their solo careers but from the BTS albums.

It's a bit of a boomer that you guys didn't react to songs like Black Swan, Yet to Come, Fake Love, Blood, Sweat and Tears, ON and so on. Don't get me wrong i love all the songs you've reacted to, but this only shows you their pop-y side with the exception of Spring Day, it'd be nice for you to react to bigger variety of their songs. Black Swan is actually a must lol one of the greatest songs in their entire catalog! It was actually inspired by Marta Graham's quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful", if you ever react to it, it'd be cool if besides the dance practice you could react to the Black Swan art film since it includes the orchestral version of the song!
