José José, "El príncipe de la canción" (The prince of song) is one of the iconic music figures (performer and actor) of México, very well known in all Latin America.
One of the best performers, singers of not only his era but of ANY era. From this performance in 1970 and for almost next 30 years he was the excellence in ballads and song.
The Sad refers to a man with a lot of sadness. José José was one of the most recogniced Mexican singers worldwide in the 70s, 80s, 90s, y 2000s, he was now as the prince of song...
@@diegom7760no, actually he struggled with alcoholism his whole life. Alcohol is terrible for the vocal cords-extremely drying. Dry vocal cords lead to injury. He had exceptional vocal technique, he had a very healthy way of singing. What annihilated his voice was the alcoholism and the fact that he had greedy managers who worked him to oblivion. No rest for 10-15 years takes a toll on anyone. Had he had a better life he would’ve had his voice for decades.
The history Roberto Cantoral, who had already made classics like "El reloj", was inspired by a sad and tragic event to make this masterpiece of music in Spanish today. The story of "El triste", a song that became famous in the voice of José José, has to do with the death of the composer's mother. “Yes, it was made for a woman: her mother when she passed away. That's why he says 'how sad it was to say goodbye when we loved each other the most'. No one separates when they love each other the most. And he says 'today I want to savor my pain'. It is the death of his mother," said his son Roberto Cantoral Zucchi in De Primera Mano

If I remember correctly March 15, 1970, without technology, son of an opera singer father, he was a prodigy, if life of successes and excesses in alcohol and drugs, then he had affections to speak and sing until he died a few years ago
Every latino rock head love this artist, is an anthem for us latinos even if you just listening rock, heavy and black metal. Its not our fault we have so much talent and so so many anthems like this one
He was named the prince of the song, he is our greatest singer from the 60's to 90's sadly a life of excesses on alcohol and drugs lead him to even speak with difficulty. But he left a legacy with his voice. En vivo means live and the performance is during a contest where unexpectedly he didn't win because the contest was about lyrics not the voice. It was the beginning of his successful career.

"El Triste" was composed by Humberto Cantoral in honor of the pain of losing his mother while traveling by plane to her funeral, at least that's what some say.

For eternity
How sad everyone says that I am
That I'm always talking about you
They do not know that thinking of your love in your love
I have been able to help myself to live

Jose Jose was a master of vocal technique. O seară frumoasă!
One of the best singer of latin america, the true singer with talent, love ur reaction and greetings from perú.
The name of the song is "El Triste" (The sad one), "En vivo" means it was recorded during a live session (a contest). The video quality is because of the year: 1970. José José, "El príncipe de la canción" (The prince of song) is one of the iconic music figures (performer and actor) of México, very well known in all Latin America.
Hello, I loved your reaction to El Triste from the one and only José José. Cheers from Tijuana, México.
One of the best performers, singers of not only his era but of ANY era. From this performance in 1970 and for almost next 30 years he was the excellence in ballads and song.
ES EL MERO MERO..ES JOSÉ JOSÉ QUE VIVA MÉXICO..¡!
The Sad refers to a man with a lot of sadness. José José was one of the most recogniced Mexican singers worldwide in the 70s, 80s, 90s, y 2000s, he was now as the prince of song...
53 years ago… in my opinion he was the greatest singer of Mexico, it’s a shame he lost his voice to the point where he could barely speak
He was a heavy cigarette smoker!
Hes vocal cords got fucked up after a bit he couldn't sing and he talked wierd..
@@diegom7760 No he wasn’t
The history
Roberto Cantoral, who had already made classics like "El reloj", was inspired by a sad and tragic event to make this masterpiece of music in Spanish today.
My friend, you know your history! Cantoral was the MAN!!!! Cheers mate
El Principe, gracias por todo José José
Yeap.... It doesn't matter if you understand him or what language you speak!! His voice, emotions, and passion is universally understood by everyone with a soul!

José José simplemente uno de los mejores intérpretes contemporáneos de México para el mundo. Viva el Príncipe de la Canción (que en paz descanse). Una voz privilegiada que no tiene comparación.
Que emocionante saber que te haya gustado esta canción !
The video was 1970, and the song is "Sad".. and interpreted in live
Hello Everyone, I am from México. I am proud of You all people, Because you're so Sensitive. I can see It and read these , so. Our Loved Artist, when was Alive, was Son of an Orchestran Musician, that's why he had a great musical Education. Latinoamérica Amado con México también, Un mismo Sentimiento... Un Abrazo Gigante . Thank You Lady, for sharing to Us Your Reaction. Blessings to all of You . Your Friend, José Manuel...

In 1970, José José participated in the Latin Song Festival which was held in Mexico City at the Ferrocarrilero Theater, in that place José José took the ovation of those present after his extraordinary interpretation of "El triste" he didn’t win 🥺
No ganó por increíble que parezca
They were evaluating the song not the performance, anyway incredible that he didn’t won
Un monstruo al micrófono. Grande el maestro José José.
Saludos!!! desde México. Gracias por tu linda reaccion.
If I remember correctly March 15, 1970, without technology, son of an opera singer father, he was a prodigy, if life of successes and excesses in alcohol and drugs, then he had affections to speak and sing until he died a few years ago
The one and only José José.. thank you for react the one of the greatest singers of all time ..
He was one of the best singers in Mexico .
Every latino rock head love this artist, is an anthem for us latinos even if you just listening rock, heavy and black metal. Its not our fault we have so much talent and so so many anthems like this one
"El triste" (The sad one) March 25, 1970, when he represented Mexico in an international song festival, the "II Festival de la Canción Latina"
One of the best singers ever ❤️🇲🇽
He was the most greatest singer (in the beggining) he's got a great voice and feeling
He was the One !
I have seen a lot of coaches react to this song, but you are the first one ever seen soing a standing ovation to a video, thats the efectt José José does to must of the people seeing this vdeo. the perfomance was for a contest that took place im 1970. Unfotunalety he did not win, but thankfully for us, the song has won the heart of millions around the world, like you just did. EN VIVO means it was a live event, those contest were broadcast to the latin countries. I like to thank you for your reaction. From those days there are more mexican singers with the same quality as José José. You can try Emmanuel, Lupita D alessio, Manuela Torres, Lola Beltrán, Enrique Guzman, and so on. Looking foward to see more of your reactions. Grettings from México.
This video is from 1970, in the OTI Festival. José José is the "Prince of the song" in all Latin America. Congratulations for your channel, you are so cute and nice, God bless you ever!
One of the greatest

This song was sung in a composer/singer competition for the OTI iberoamerican tele-media organizations back in the 70's in Mexico the song was written by the composer while traveling on a plane back home after being informed his brother had passed or so I've heard!
The song is called "El Triste" is a live version of a Latin American song festival from the year 1970.The lyrics are by Roberto Cantoral, which he wrote when he was on his way to his mother's funeral.
Que paso biquite , que bueno que escuchaste a jose Jose... Mexicano hasta la eternidad
"El Triste" was composed by Humberto Cantoral in honor of the pain of losing his mother while traveling by plane to her funeral, at least that's what some say.
José Rómulo Sosa Ortiz (17 February 1948 - 28 September 2019), known professionally as José José, was a Mexican singer. Also known as El Príncipe de la Canción (The Prince of Song), his performance and vocal style have influenced many Latin pop artists in a career that spanned more than four decades.[1][2][3] Due to his vocals and popularity, José José was considered by Latin audience and media as an icon of Latin pop music and one of the most emblematic Latin singers of his time.[
