LinkedIn is a great option for freelancers nowadays. I say that so because I just close a client with just personal branding on LinkedIn. I'm an SEO content writer and I regularly post content for my target audience.

Payyd isn't a trusted source to receive payments online. It's claimed to be an Indian company but I just searched on mca.gov.in, but the company is not registered. Please beware of spams.

I tried getting clients on Facebook groups but in vain then after wasting a whole long year i started working with a local foundation, volunteering. Also, i reallly doubt my skill n so i started learning another skill i.e smm so that i can learn it n also it can b useful along witth cintent writing this is what i think i might be wrong

Assalam o Alaikum Khalil I have heard that to get clients on fiver you must have your past portfolio work but tell me how a new freelancer who has just joined fiver should maintain a portfolio and you also know this. A new freelancer can't create a portfolio with 0 orders, especially on fiver. So what should be done in this situation?
you can make projects by yourself like I did in content writing where I created different articles and blogs by myself to show other people my creativity and writing skills and if you are doing something like SSM or Digital marketing then you can offer them free trials and then take feedback/testimonial from them and if they like your work, you can even offer your service for some amount and if you made them happy with your free trial. then most probably they'll buy your service from you
