I want to thank you for letting me know the possible value of classic cars, and the rarity that classic vehicles can be, you have enlighten my mind to these things, and with that being said, I have found a Dimond in the ruff, I recently purchased a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500, from Arkansas and it's in really good shape for being 60 years old, never had any rust at all, has 1 repaint done several years ago, with a V8 260 engine and a 2 shift 2 speed tranny, with only 91,000 original miles, and what makes it so rare, it's a 4 dr 500😊
3098 this going to be a really neat ride when done. My first car in 1964 was a 56 convert black with white top 265 three on the tree. I will be watching the progress on this one.
2990 lbs love this car! Olivia you need this in your life freshen up that trailer tow it with the tempest, perfect set up and call the car flashback! You guys rock thanks for all you do!
Liv's new drag car!!!! Keep the paint have y'all logo put on the side. Slowly do the same that ya did with rum runner, rebuild or clean up the motor, upgrade suspension etc. Looking forward to watching this build 😍
Great ride. Had a 210 post in the late 60’s, one of my favorite’s ever. A 331 w/ TR1X tunnel ram and dual 660 center squiters sticking up through the hood. She was a real head turner and ran as well as she looked. Peacock green metal flake on white pearl base. Should have never sold her. I’ll guess 3120 lbs. the way yours sets right now.
Good luck on the 56 street / strip car build. I was really close on last weight contest, i'm going with 3105 lbs. Maybe a crate big block motor on this project ? Really enjoy the car time with you guys, keep up the good work.
3013 on the weight. I would suggest that you don't change anything on the car until you go through the engine, if everything is good on the engine keep it, if you have to start adding a bunch of hard parts then go ahead and build it how you want. You can always go to the old man's garage soon and enter to win that 427 they have😊
My family owned a 53 Chevy-black, straight6 3spd on the column. "Betsy" was her name and the second i saw your new addition i was thinking she was a Betsy! Blue Betty or Betsy.
My guess is 3157. The photos of Danny and the Charger are definitely wall hangers! I like the idea of putting the old race car back on the track. And Olivia since this car is your wet dream, you should be the driver! lol 😂 Too bad you couldn’t keep the trailer. I think it was meant to be a car trailer when it was built. It’s just 1960s old school, which fits the car too. But you have to find a place to store it. Maybe you can put a better winch on it and then just park another one of your cars on it and store it back at the Tiki warehouse? Your call. I think you need to keep it around to haul the old racer back to the track at least for its inaugural return to the track. I agree you should work on the engine and drop the compression so it burns 91 pump gas. The idea is to exhibit race the car, not be the top dog at the track.
3178. What an amazing piece of drag racing history and looking forward to seeing it come together. I’m a new subscriber and thank you for sharing this incredible journey you two are on.
It' funny to me that both of you like post cars and I love the hardtops. I just love the hardtop with the windows lowered, it is so clean looking. Either way it is a beautiful car.
I think it weighs 3078 lbs. Keep the car Olivia, it’s all you. It’s a real piece of drag racing history and to see it on the street/drag strip will a real tribute. Once again, great video.
With the '56 dragster: You're already talking about rebuilding the carburetor, so....may as well restore the engine, a gasket overhaul, at least.....them valve covers could use some restoration, I forget who restored the ones for "Waylon Wires Old Iron"...he had some M/T covers restored.....for his "dogellac".... Neoprene bushings all around, restore the steering box, too. But, you know what you're doing, so nevermind me....✌
Cool the 56 has the far superior 57-64 Pontiac 9.3" rear ! Only the 57 Pontiac rear bolts in to 55-57 Chevy without mods. Almost .400" thicker pinion gear is 1.8 something thick vs 1.4 something. That's what in my 63 Catalina a 3.64 gear and stock 4 pinion factory posi 31 spline stock axles
I would love to see the car resurrected exactly the way it was when it was last raced, but I am sure it will be great no matter what you decide. Keep up the good work !
You still having stinki problems, it is a easy fix, get a gallon of white vinegar get 4 conteiners fill them with vinegar, place inside of car close the windows and leave over night or few days, dispose old vinegar and repeat prosses 3 times and you will smell the difference I do it with the cars I get, try it.
Everyone needs a ride that is built, way to nasty for the street but, they drive it anyway. To the bank. To the dollar store. Past preschool playgrounds just to scare the kids. Places like that, OH! And the dragstrip. 😊
Great video, that's a good looking 56 , I had Lakewood traction bars on my 68 Z-28 Camaro long time ago, they worked great. Liv is so adorable ❤❤❤ 3021 weight
Hey hello aloha from Maui Hawaii I love your build very nice old skool 1956 Chevy hardtop I want really into you guys making this blue old skool drag racer into reality fix this one up it has great potential to be a street and strip drag racer again and keep it the old skool how it is looks I love that vintage it has its own unique style very nice car i want to see this built into the end of it I am a big time Mopar guy loves Mopars but this 1956 Chevy are growing on me I love it ok now my guess for the of how much that car weighs probably around 2951 ok that's my guess ok aloha guys I love all your videos keep on making more awesome videos 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Wow ! 3182 # rolling not bad or far from my guess I would have to go back and look. That's a little lighter than my pump gas Poncho 467 stroker hoopty 63 Pontiac Catalina drag car. For the record though.. my current 1/8 mile time is a tad quicker 1/8 than yours on that great 11.1@125 pass 😁 so far I have done a 7.20 better soon but busted my transmission in work now
You can make it street able with that compression. You need a carburetor ATM for E85. You can run that compression on E85. E85 amounts to 112 or better octane.
Keep the Cragars and the trailer fenders, sell the rest. A newer trailer of known quality is more important than heritage. You don't want to test what'll happen on the road!
Olivia Stiffidi: 4 words: Cool as a cucumber. That's no lie. Did I forget, California is a number of days away from the rock opera concert: "The Lost Christmas Eve," by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Tickets are on sale for day or night concert.
I'd keep the white 56 for driver and leave the ht as a high compression race gas motor and tow it behind duke but even with the race gas you can put a set of aluminum heads on it depending on piston compression you may be able to run pump gas with a gallon or two race gas or additive I see why you don't want to sell green glass car would be cool too build as well and keep it till you get bored with it but with the ht you can't beat the smell of race gas and burning rubber or the sound from a hi compression motor
That is a. Beautiful. 56. Love the color I say 3420 . Have fun working on it....why don't you use the parts. From " Stinky cheese " on this car ? Have a great week. Peace .
3248 lbs! Not only is it a badass car, but it has history. To me, that means more than what kind of car it is! Definitely keep the engine! 13.5:1 is insane! Knock that down and enjoy it!
olivia iam so glad to see you pay attention to your fabulous 56 chevy, you both are young but the old days of drag racing was the best, iam old enough to have been around the tracks during both eras of time in drag racing. so yes i would say keep it looking drag ready for its time, even if you dont race it, not sure i would anyway. take it to car shows and people can enjoy a real race car from the past without pooring a ton of money to race it,
Yeah but don't you remember who's the people who threw that perfectly good trunk away off of her car you guys change the deck lid and carry it over to the dumpster and threw it away with the v on it and everything now don't you think you should have saved it for that one maybe haha just kidding guys but yeah you guys could have done something with that save the Chrome everything off it just remember guys when you've got classic cars do not throw anything away cuz you can always either use the metal or anything so keep that in mind love you guys man Keep On Keepin On
You will need a turbo to make it in the 10's. Maybe twin turbos! This is a sweet Ride! Danny and Oliva do it good like you kids do! 2400 lbs is my guess!
I guess 2869lbs. Maybe you should just take the engine, drivetrain and roll cage out and put it in the stinky one. That way you would have windows, hood and trunk lid. Then paint it the same blue paint as the drag car as a tribute.😜
I'm aware that this was an impulse purchase but I really like this car and that you've got some history on it. I think it should be kept street legal so that you can drive it to the race if you want or to the beach a couple times a year but otherwise it is so much a race car with a roll cage, that it really doesn't make sense to try to make it a daily driver. On the other hand it would be interesting to see what modern things could be done to get it to run on lower octane fuel, FI, ignition retard, etc. but I don't think its worth it. Olivia, I think one race car and one daily driver is the best way to go, your new 56 is a nice daily driver.
Do not ruin Old School refresh it and race it you have others to mess with .Race it or Sell it but make sure who ever gets it has a responsibility of keeping it OLD SCHOOL IF YOU DO YOU WILL FEEL REALLY GOOD THAT YOU DID IT LOOKING BACK THE WEIGHT ON IT 3250 LBS.
Danny you are 1 LUCKY MAN! Olivia is an amazing woman! God bless you both. I absolutely love the channel!

Danny in the helmet gave me a chuckle 🤣 good work guys!

3023 gonna be a fun build to watch. Liv, You look good in that car! To be honest you would look good in any car but that one just fits you!
It' funny to me that both of you like post cars and I love the hardtops. I just love the hardtop with the windows lowered, it is so clean looking. Either way it is a beautiful car.

Awesome '56 Project car. my guess is 3080 lbs.
That 2 door hardtop has nice lines. I like hard tops. My 56 is a 4 dr hdtp . I look forward to Tuesday to see your videos. John

I would name the 56 "Babe" like Babe the Blue Ox of Paul Bunyan tales ... Old school like the car
Wow ! 3182 # rolling not bad or far from my guess I would have to go back and look. That's a little lighter than my pump gas Poncho 467 stroker hoopty 63 Pontiac Catalina drag car. 2987. You guys do a great job! Always entertaining! Thank you!
Danny needs to be suited up and in full race gear to be truly fair!
You can make it street able with that compression. You need a carburetor ATM for E85. You can run that compression on E85. E85 amounts to 112 or better octane.
Nice 56! Please don’t change much on it. Just make sure it’s safe to drive.
Go 11:1 on the motor.
Weight is 2,668
Keep the Cragars and the trailer fenders, sell the rest. A newer trailer of known quality is more important than heritage. You don't want to test what'll happen on the road!
Best wishes on your new project! Weight guess: 2875 lbs. Car name: 'Bluebird'.
Damn I was only off 40lbs. I always look forward to your videos. Awesome content!
Olivia Stiffidi: 4 words: Cool as a cucumber. That's no lie. Did I forget, California is a number of days away from the rock opera concert: "The Lost Christmas Eve," by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Tickets are on sale for day or night concert.
Glad the Dodge made it there and back for RKG Day.. I'm sure you have heard about the big Motortrend Snafu.. Curios to hear what you two think..
2878, 1956 was a good year, both my wife and I were both born that year.
You Guys are a Blast to Watch 2824
My guess is 3115. Love you guys
Danny did you see that mouse stairing at Olivia underneath the hood scoop LOL
🤣
3120 this will be a fun build to watch. How about "old school" for a name.
3625 love the channel. Car is going to be great.
The blue 56 racer could be your new Gasser Olivia... I'm guessing it's 2956 lbs.
Olivia's drag car she needs to be racing with you
2730 lbs. Good luck with this beast😊

Keep it up, hope you have fun doing it so it won`t feel like another job.
Back in my day, the 55 , 56, and 57 Chevy hard tops were considered sportier than the sedans. The sedans were "family" cars.
3248 lbs! Not only is it a badass car, but it has history. To me, that means more than what kind of car it is! Definitely keep the engine! 13.5:1 is insane! Knock that down and enjoy it!
I love the 69 Camaro!! I was only off by 93lbs on Rum-Runner great car guys!!🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💯💕💯
olivia iam so glad to see you pay attention to your fabulous 56 chevy, you both are young but the old days of drag racing was the best, iam old enough to have been around the tracks during both eras of time in drag racing. so yes i would say keep it looking drag ready for its time, even if you dont race it, not sure i would anyway. take it to car shows and people can enjoy a real race car from the past without pooring a ton of money to race it,
Don't lower the compression, pump E85 would make the car even faster and run cooler at the same time.
blue boy for the name Back in 1965 I had a 56 2dr hdtp named hasta --- have
See if you can get it running before you pull it out! It would be fun to hear it as it was raced, before you change the pistons and cam!!!!
Get him to give you some lottery numbers!
Can't wait to see you tear down and build the motor! 2944 lbs
Yeah but don't you remember who's the people who threw that perfectly good trunk away off of her car you guys change the deck lid and carry it over to the dumpster and threw it away with the v on it and everything now don't you think you should have saved it for that one maybe haha just kidding guys but yeah you guys could have done something with that save the Chrome everything off it just remember guys when you've got classic cars do not throw anything away cuz you can always either use the metal or anything so keep that in mind love you guys man Keep On Keepin On
Cool Car!👍👍👍
Aluminum heads with bigger cc chambers to lower compression let it rip!
You will need a turbo to make it in the 10's. Maybe twin turbos!
This is a sweet Ride!
Danny and Oliva do it good like you kids do!
2400 lbs is my guess!
...just put a thick felpro head gasket in it to lower compression....
I guess 2869lbs. Maybe you should just take the engine, drivetrain and roll cage out and put it in the stinky one. That way you would have windows, hood and trunk lid. Then paint it the same blue paint as the drag car as a tribute.😜
Really nice car, love the video s. My guess on wt it 2,856 lbs
I give Danny credit that wench 😂rust baby rust
Blue 56 weight is 2,785.4 lbs.
-CF
What about using E-85? I have read one can run up to 15:1 with E85 with the proper carb.
The very high compression is what's helping it get the horsepower and times that it is capable of and it would completely change the character to lower it much below 12.5 to 1 in my opinion. You'd always have to run race fuel of course but a couple times a year should not be a problem. The L88 Corvette is a good reference for you, it was 12.5 to 1 from the factory, really a race car, and had a large warning tag 104 octane only. I think it would run on the old Sunoco 260. On the other hand it would be interesting to see what modern things could be done to get it to run on lower octane fuel, FI, ignition retard, etc. but I don't think its worth it. Olivia, I think one race car and one daily driver is the best way to go, your new 56 is a nice daily driver.
Can't wait to see you working on your white 56 again I'm not a fan of the cut up quarter panels
56 Chevy 3027lbs, I love that car, when I was a kid my dad bracket raced a 56 210 with a 427 big block and that same exact shifter.
Your car is 2871lbs love your channel
Cool stuff 😎
Love yer car, but yer title doesn’t say watch us weigh the dang mopar , you guys are the only ones that care , Chevy carvids lol great Job you 2
2855 beautiful car!!
My educated guess is 2987. A very scientific approach to this number.
Do not ruin Old School refresh it and race it you have others to mess with .Race it or Sell it but make sure who ever gets it has a responsibility of keeping it OLD SCHOOL IF YOU DO YOU WILL FEEL REALLY GOOD THAT YOU DID IT LOOKING BACK THE WEIGHT ON IT 3250 LBS.
absolutely keep this car! I think it weighs in at 2793 pounds
I think it weighs 3021 lbs.
Really enjoy the channel!
