60007 Sir Nigel Gresley A4 Pacific 4-6-2 in 1950s Express Blue built Doncaster 1937.

This A4 loco is second only in importance to A4 Mallard, the world steam record holder, which reached 126mph on Stoke Bank north of Peterborough in 1938. 60007 holds the post war steam record of 112mph which it set in 1959, again on Stoke Bank. It carries the name of the designer of the class and was built for the LNER in 1937. Here it is seen looking and sounding amazing having recently left the workshop after a long and thorough overhaul lasting seven years. Filmed on 8th April 2023 on the Nene Valley Railway. It is sadly the only A4 left in Britain in running order.
