Calculating Local Relief

  • Local relief is the difference in height between two points over a relatively small area. To calculate the local relief, you have to first identify the highest and lowest elevations between the starting and the end point.
    To calculate local relief, we use the simple formula of highest point minus lowest point equals local relief.
