y'know, seeing everyones comments on how they mixed the dyson sphere and stellar engine tracks to show continuity got me thinking. They make so many videos on how humanity would move forward, from moon bases to space elevators, to skyhooks, to mars bases, to dyson spheres, to stellar engines and so on. How cool would it be if they made a video about a space timeline? They would explain how humanity would move forward and become a type 3 civilization. Spread the word! I think that video could be a culmination of all the space videos they've made. I would pay actual money to see that.
I dont think theres a way to determine what will happen after type 2. We already know the stellar engine video explains how we would get to other stars, thats most likely all we currently know. Theres just no way to predict what problems we will have to face.

yeah they do make the music. if i recall correctly i believe i heard about a contract they have with the people behind kurzgesagt, and honestly i can't imagine kurzgesagt without the stunning soundtracks produced by epic mountain music. it may sit down in the background but whether people are aware of it or not it has a great impact on the actual video.

@@tops1954 I see plenty of people mistake similar sounds for motifs. The twinkling section at 6:26 is such a case. Sounds similar to Neutron Stars and I can appreciate that, but it isn't a motif reference.
Motifs typically have tie-ins to subjects in the video and there was no reference in this video to Neuron Stars. The use of motifs can be subtle, but it's normally not that subtle. There was clear verbal reference in the White Death video for the use of the Coronavirus motif and discussing nomadic tribes a preindustrial lifestyles was a fitting place to use the Human Origins motif in their most recent video (Workout Paradox).

I can understand why this would be used in a video about the kardashev scale & not neutron stars as it was never a primary focus or even mentioned. As for 6:26, sounds exactly the same as a piece from emergence. For context go to 3:17 in the emergence track. Also u can’t lie to me, 7:12 & 3:51 are like best parts of

I'm definitely seeing what you're picking up on the sequence resembling the bit of Emergence and I can put that together in my imagination in the context of the video. It's not an explicit motif but it may be a nod the way the middle of The White Death track gave a nod to the Coronavirus intro or Superintelligence gives a nod to Simulation Theory.
I'll be the conformist and say the second section, in particular the energy building into the Dyson Sphere motif is my favorite. I mentioned in the latest track, Fever, the idea of a breakthrough moment and that hit at 5:14 was the first time I had heard such a thing in an EMM track and it had me hooked.
@@happymaster19 As soon as the music begins to crescendo & after the emergence sequence establishes itself, theyre talking about the civilization types in ascending order upto type 5 & omega civilizations. So yeah this mini reference. Dyson Sphere & Stellar engine I place in the top 2 spots as I find the 8-bit pieces rlly catchy. My all time favorite though is nuclear death. Climate Doom remix with that alarming nuclear touch & the geiger counter sounds make it perfect. I’m just really satisfied by the climate melodies tbh.
This is absolutely one of the best of the Kurzgesagt tracks. Absolute omega level genius.

I’m a sucker for anything with a minor key, and electronic music isn’t really my thing, BUT MAN, is this a work of ART!!
I immediately noticed the soundtrack, somehow it stands out from the rest. They did an amazing job, I cannot express how incredible each and every kurgesagt video is and how much effort they put into each video, from the amount of research to the animations to the music.. Wow.
Am I the only one who likes 7:12-7:42? That part (along with the dyson sphere theme) gave me chills
I love how you keep the music original and unique to each video, but never forget to throw in a sample or a reference to an older concept/video whenever it pops up. Black hole bombs, stellar engines, Dyson spheres, all of them are in there, at the exact point when they appear in the video.

I love how fun and also reggae sounding the beginning parts are, made me jive along to it. I also jumped in joy hearing different motifs of Stella engine and a bit of Dyson sphere which are one of my favourite Epic mountain tracks.

Man, I love the part at the beginning. This tune that feels like a casual stroll in deep space. It has such a special charm and vibe to it, I love it.
This is in one of my top 3 favorite tracks from you guys, EM, because of how damn good it sounds especially at parts like 5:56, 2:36-2:55 & 3:04, 3:51 onwards. But I want to talk about how you hear great filter/emergence as well in the backgorund (the warbling) at 2:29, 6:26 & 7:45 besides the Dyson sphere & stellar engine tracks.
As soon as I heard that snippet of the Dyson Sphere song, I knew I had to come here and give this a like. This is brilliant.
