Yes, just watching Imamu cook and speak with her family is so comforting to me. Seeing twists on recipes I grew up learning and how much effort they put into providing home-cooked meals for their family everyday is so precious. Not to mention their relationship with their daughter and husband is so wholesome. Maybe that's just because I never experienced any of this as a child? It's just very refreshing to watch and helps with my anxiety.

So I’m about to turn 21 and been living by myself for a while now, and I don’t know why but this video almost made me shed a tear. Just the music, the portions for your daughter, the care in the food. I had nowhere near the same diet but it made me remeber the quesadillas my mamá would make for me, the rice and huevos estrellados, when she would pick my lunch for work. It made me strangely emotional, thanks imamu for making me remeber my amazing mom

Same here lol! My sisters do this with my nephews and I’ve seen the same with other family members. Maybe it’s a cultural thing? Idk I’m Mexican. Now they’re about 4 so they get their own plate and portions but sometimes they still eat off their parents
Since Imamu's room came into my life, i now have an appetite again and no longer starve and my depression gets better. My family also bonds since i cook. Thank you so much!!! This is the power, the halo of good meals!!! Food is honestly so important!!

The size of the portions makes me think of the three little bears book. Like the little bit of scrambled egg and quail egg in a small bowl for the daughter. Maybe a couple extra hot dogs for the mom or husband. It’s so cute and wholesome to be able to see the family together, especially at the table eating.

I believe the daughter has allergies so she gets a slightly varied version of the food.

Are you saying that you didn't get your own plate as a child? If so, did they wait until you were 'grown up' to give you your own serving? That must have been a 'special' occasion. The one I really like was the quail egg for the daughter. A small egg for a small child is a wonderful idea

Shin ramen is my go-to lol. Also, no pressure to make new recipes all the time!! I feel like a lot of us are home cooks or aspiring cooks so we're just grateful for the ideas and to be able to see your cooking!
I love all of the nongshim varieties but shin is classic. if you want it less spicy you just add less of the flavor packet haha

“It’s hard to come up with a menu everyday” YES! I have to come up with a menu for the entire week on Sunday if I want to stay on track throughout the week. If I get stuck, I go to RUclips and save recipes under a “weekly” playlist. Coming up with a dish on the day of (after working and babysitting twins all for 8-12 hours) just isn’t gonna go smoothly.
I loved it when your daughter's ABC's just devolved into "MEOW"! It was so cute and the editing was perfect on that.

I always loved asian cousine and you gave me so many new ideas for cooking, especially EASY cooking! I'm definititely going to try the tofu in pork for my next bento and the dumplings look great too.
I have a question for you. Would you consider ever releasing a cookbook? It's a little hard to orientate in your videos, and going back for a specific recipe. I'm sure you'd sell them easily, and by your video editing and camera skills, I'm sure you'd make a GREAT design for it
