Simple answer is yes. It is not a common thing to do as unicycles generally travel slower than bikes and the spray from the tyre tends not be a problem.
Adults: Has isis spline cranks, fat tire, and maybe aluminum frame = $300 and higher Kids: Has square splines(cotterless), skinny tires and heavy steel = less than $200. Unless, you are a parent who "wants" to learn unicycle yourself. Then you buy the best for the kids and "use it" when they're at school. Cheers.
Thanks for the input, but adults don't need to have an ISIS Unicycle. It's better yes, but a quality cotterless Unicycle is strong enough for adults learning to ride.
